[00:00:00] Speaker A: What's up, guys?
[00:00:02] Speaker B: We're all in person.
[00:00:03] Speaker A: Not only it feels real intimate.
[00:00:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
Because doing it through a screen for a year and a half has now made, like, being in person with one another.
[00:00:14] Speaker A: Like the most intimate ladies on snl.
You know, the. The radio ones.
[00:00:21] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. When the schwetty balls.
[00:00:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:00:24] Speaker B: So not only are we in person for the first time ever on the
[00:00:27] Speaker A: show, have our first special guest.
[00:00:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
Number one.
[00:00:31] Speaker C: Hey, guys.
[00:00:33] Speaker B: I think she'll only be number one.
[00:00:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:00:36] Speaker B: Unless she's got a name she'd like to use. But.
[00:00:38] Speaker C: No, that's okay.
[00:00:40] Speaker A: I named her number one. I was very proud of that.
[00:00:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
So we were talking a little bit, and we. We cut it off because I felt like it was really good content.
But it was brought to our attention that only one side of the Disneyland fiasco was told on the podcast. And I think it's time for the record to be set straight and for justice to be served. And number one, to give her peace.
[00:01:13] Speaker C: Yeah. So what do you want to know?
[00:01:15] Speaker B: Well, first of all, we're on the third story of a townhouse condo. What would you call this Things.
[00:01:22] Speaker A: I don't know. Townhouse.
[00:01:23] Speaker B: Townhouse overlooking Newport Beach.
It's a little hotter than I'd like it, but it's nice, for sure.
[00:01:29] Speaker A: I've already been. I've been burning all day. My legs are on fire right now as we speak.
[00:01:34] Speaker B: You wanna.
There's no. No umbrellas up here. What an oversight.
[00:01:39] Speaker A: Yeah. I should have put pants on, too.
[00:01:42] Speaker B: You can do that lowering.
[00:01:45] Speaker A: I'm all right.
[00:01:46] Speaker B: Eat your mic a little more.
Yeah, there you go. Right up on that thing.
All right, well, what do we want to know? What. What do you feel like was unfair about our representation of. Of the story?
[00:01:59] Speaker C: I don't know. I should have listened.
[00:02:01] Speaker B: You don't know.
[00:02:02] Speaker C: I should have just.
[00:02:03] Speaker B: You just said it.
[00:02:04] Speaker C: Well, you asked what happened.
[00:02:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:06] Speaker C: Or, like, whatever. And I just remember thinking, can I. When I was listening.
[00:02:13] Speaker B: Can I just say, you asked in a text message if number two was gonna be on this trip.
[00:02:19] Speaker C: Oh, and when you were told.
[00:02:23] Speaker B: When you were told no, you sent spongebob smiling or some other such gif.
Hey, I feel like that's unfair.
[00:02:33] Speaker A: Hold on. Pause. What's that gift look like on your end?
[00:02:37] Speaker B: I don't. I don't remember. She sent so many gifts.
[00:02:39] Speaker A: I know, but what do all of them look like on your end?
[00:02:41] Speaker C: They're actual stickers.
[00:02:43] Speaker A: They are stickers. And. And mine has the sticker, but then it has a little Stamp on it says can't download.
I still see the sticker but it says can download so I don't get the full effect of the.
[00:02:54] Speaker C: So did you see the.
[00:02:55] Speaker A: I've seen them all, the Chihuahuas.
[00:02:57] Speaker C: Okay, so why are you asking him what it looked like?
[00:02:59] Speaker A: Because I was wondering if he actually like if it's a displays for him. Because he's an Android user too.
[00:03:04] Speaker C: No, he's not.
[00:03:05] Speaker A: That's right. You switched over.
[00:03:07] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, it feels good.
[00:03:11] Speaker C: It's just you messing up our text thread in the green.
[00:03:14] Speaker B: There was nothing wrong with Androids in general, but I had the cheapest Android on the market for four years. Same phone, it barely works.
[00:03:24] Speaker A: Phone on the market. Right on.
[00:03:25] Speaker B: Maybe. Is it.
[00:03:26] Speaker C: I mean it's so user friendly.
[00:03:28] Speaker A: That's why everybody likes it. It's user friendly.
[00:03:31] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:03:32] Speaker A: I prefer to do different stuff with mine.
[00:03:34] Speaker C: So use it as your tablet.
[00:03:37] Speaker B: I really didn't. I didn't have a strong feeling one way or the other.
[00:03:41] Speaker C: You don't feel so much better being in the iPhone realm.
[00:03:45] Speaker B: No, no, honestly, because my phone was so shitty that just having a phone that works like I'm gonna click that button and it's gonna do that thing that's so refreshing after four years of having a shitty phone that I wouldn't
[00:03:58] Speaker C: care if it was an Internet fathers.
[00:04:01] Speaker A: Well, no, no, no, no. I use. I stay Android because the Galaxy is on it, that's why.
[00:04:09] Speaker C: What do you mean the Galaxy?
[00:04:11] Speaker A: The Samsung Galaxy Note, the Milky Way.
And I need the pin. Like the little pin. I always said if Apple had a built in stylus I would use it.
[00:04:22] Speaker C: I know you have said this, but
[00:04:23] Speaker B: I didn't have the stylus. See, these are all things I might.
[00:04:26] Speaker A: Well, that's what I'm saying. I don't know if I would necessarily stay Android if I didn't have a stylus.
[00:04:32] Speaker C: Have you even used an iPhone in the past?
[00:04:34] Speaker A: Yeah, companies give them to you for your second like your work phone. I end up having to send to my personal phone to do the edits I want to do. Write what I want to write. Because on an iPhone you want to write like oh, install screw here or put some wood right here and you have to do with your fat finger. And it doesn't look like my writing user friend.
[00:04:54] Speaker C: The user error right there, she really hits you with.
[00:04:57] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm just saying, you know damn well you write better. Penmanship is better with a pen than with.
[00:05:03] Speaker C: Yeah, but also I'm a typing demon.
[00:05:09] Speaker A: Yeah. I don't want to have to open up a typing thing and then have to type. Like, screw here. I'd rather just draw it all and write it all.
And it's easier when I'm trying to draw diagrams of what we're trying to do in a certain area. I like the pen. Sorry, guys.
[00:05:22] Speaker C: Yeah, that's. That sounds like you would be better off with a Samsung work phone.
[00:05:27] Speaker A: Probably so.
[00:05:28] Speaker C: And iPhone personal.
[00:05:30] Speaker A: Yeah. And when I had a iPhone work and a Samsung personal, I would give out my iPhone number when meeting new people just to not be judged. I'd be like, hey, here's the iPhone number.
[00:05:41] Speaker C: Oh, I get that.
[00:05:44] Speaker B: I'll just say I've never felt limited by an iPhone. So, like, what is it that you need to do on an Android that
[00:05:50] Speaker C: you can't do handwriting?
[00:05:51] Speaker A: It's the. The stylus. I do like that.
[00:05:54] Speaker B: Whoa, you can get a stylus for it.
[00:05:56] Speaker A: No, people say this one stores in the phone.
[00:05:59] Speaker B: You want a slot for it?
[00:06:00] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't want to carry. The phone's already big enough.
What do I want to add to it? I don't have a case because, honestly,
[00:06:07] Speaker B: that's because I don't like the solid, you know, solid reasoning.
[00:06:11] Speaker A: So what about.
[00:06:12] Speaker B: What about a stylus built into a pen? So you're only carrying one thing.
[00:06:17] Speaker A: I don't want to have to carry a pen now.
[00:06:19] Speaker B: You don't carry a pen.
Okay, well, then I'm confused.
[00:06:24] Speaker A: My pins are for writing, but the
[00:06:26] Speaker C: other end has a little.
[00:06:28] Speaker A: Just like a fat finger. They've never made them look. Look how fine point this is, guys.
And then you're going to give me a.
[00:06:35] Speaker B: He clicks it out. He thinks it's so cool.
[00:06:37] Speaker A: You're going to give me a Q tip to write with. And you're like, yeah, you get the same.
[00:06:41] Speaker B: No, no, I. Those. The sty do suck. The ones that are too thick. That's. There's no point. No point.
[00:06:47] Speaker C: I agree, but.
[00:06:48] Speaker A: And if. If iPhone would just make one that was comparable, I'd switch over the other thing.
[00:06:53] Speaker B: That's the only thing, though.
[00:06:54] Speaker A: No, no, no.
[00:06:55] Speaker B: That you said you would switch over twice.
You said you would switch over if they had a style.
[00:07:02] Speaker A: I can split my screen top and bottom.
[00:07:05] Speaker B: I don't even know if my phone's so extra.
[00:07:07] Speaker C: There's no way that you need that going on.
[00:07:10] Speaker A: I use it for work stuff so I could be in a work meeting and then also be shopping online if I needed to look up.
[00:07:15] Speaker B: I do that on my laptop every day, so do I not need it now?
[00:07:19] Speaker A: You probably don't, but I don't necessarily
[00:07:21] Speaker B: have a laptop on my laptop. Then I definitely would on my phone if I had that capability.
[00:07:25] Speaker A: I don't want to have my laptop
[00:07:27] Speaker C: window and I'm doing everything else full
[00:07:28] Speaker A: screen again on phone calls. I could do all that. But I can also go into two different apps that kind of coincide with one another. Study apps normally like logos in the same time and compare what they have, still use.
[00:07:45] Speaker B: How they treated me.
[00:07:46] Speaker C: Huh?
What happened?
[00:07:51] Speaker B: I worked for him for four and a half years.
[00:07:54] Speaker A: How they treated you, however, you can't beat some of their tools at.
[00:07:58] Speaker B: I look back as an adult now and I think they were pretty fair. Honestly, I was pretty wild around the office.
[00:08:09] Speaker A: Yeah, you would say you did things there. And I'm like, man, it seems like that wouldn't really vibe with their personalities of who I know there. Like none of their personalities would. Would vibe with like a prankster or.
[00:08:21] Speaker B: Tony fucked with me hard. Tony loved me.
[00:08:25] Speaker A: Tony's cool.
[00:08:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:08:26] Speaker A: But everybody else seemed a little more uptight.
[00:08:28] Speaker B: Oh yeah, it was a problem. Elena was cool. Just on the tech side, how I used to bleep was. I would, I would measure out where we said the thing in the sound wave. I'd mute it out, cut it out, there'd be a gap and then I would copy a bleep sound into that gap.
[00:08:47] Speaker C: Oh wow, that sounds extra.
[00:08:48] Speaker B: Then I found out that in the program I use, if you just highlight, hit, generate, tone, just bleeps whatever you highlighted. I was like working three times as hard to bleep something. It's a. There's a built in function.
That's why I, I don't need an Android because I'm not playing with a full deck on the tech side.
[00:09:08] Speaker A: All that to say, that's fine, guys preference.
[00:09:12] Speaker C: It's not fine on my side.
[00:09:14] Speaker A: Hey, speaking of my text passive marketing, I'm really on this thing right now.
[00:09:18] Speaker B: All right, I want to hear it.
[00:09:20] Speaker A: Well, I know whose first and last visit to the show.
[00:09:26] Speaker B: Hey, just a little showbiz tip. You gotta. Yes. Hand everything or it brings the show to a grinding halt. You want to talk about this thing? No, not really.
All right, I guess we've got some topics to get into.
[00:09:42] Speaker A: You guys want to do plugs in the meantime? I think can one of you pull up those questions?
[00:09:46] Speaker C: I could.
[00:09:47] Speaker A: That'd be great.
And then I'll get on my passive marketing. No, but I'll get on the passive marketing thing that I'm really on.
[00:09:53] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:09:53] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:09:54] Speaker B: So take me There.
[00:09:56] Speaker A: It's kind of. It's going back to the prank because the prank was, how are we going to approach it? And I said, hey, no matter what she tells Jimmy.
[00:10:07] Speaker B: Right. Okay.
[00:10:08] Speaker A: He's gonna follow. He's gonna allow the follow.
[00:10:12] Speaker B: Not last time I checked.
[00:10:14] Speaker A: I think he's gonna allow the follow.
[00:10:18] Speaker B: He wants the follower. I mean, what are we talking about?
[00:10:22] Speaker C: Which is funny, because Request. He used to be public, so still requested.
[00:10:27] Speaker B: I'm not feeling good about it.
[00:10:28] Speaker A: He does play hard to get. No, he didn't. Sing with me.
[00:10:30] Speaker C: Put me. Maybe you cancel it and send it back in there.
[00:10:33] Speaker B: This rabbit might like playing hard to get, but he's playing with a fox. And he's gonna find out pretty fucking quick.
[00:10:40] Speaker A: I want you to. I want you to be okay with canceling and following it, because you would just be following suit. And he'd be like, it must be an old man thing because he's doing the same thing her dad did.
[00:10:51] Speaker B: I gotta give it a week.
[00:10:53] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:53] Speaker B: And then.
[00:10:54] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:54] Speaker B: Un, un. Request. Request again.
[00:10:57] Speaker A: So this whole passive marketing thing is just trying to be constant in someone's face.
[00:11:03] Speaker B: Okay. But awareness first. First level of the funnel kind.
[00:11:07] Speaker C: Yeah, dude.
[00:11:08] Speaker A: Kind of like.
[00:11:10] Speaker B: It's a sales funnel.
[00:11:11] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, I opted to go for bigger, better handouts.
[00:11:16] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:11:16] Speaker A: Just every day, but something you would use every day. Like a Stanley Cup.
[00:11:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:22] Speaker A: You know,
[00:11:24] Speaker B: Pen.
[00:11:26] Speaker A: No, I think I've never. I've seen maybe a handful of people my whole life that actually use a company pin. That's not their company.
[00:11:33] Speaker C: Well, no, no Pen.
[00:11:35] Speaker B: I'm like a pen guy. But, like, my mom will use a pen from a realtor that left a thing on our door 10 years ago.
[00:11:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, but see, that's. That's. That's. To me, that's the rare one.
[00:11:46] Speaker B: Sure. Okay.
[00:11:46] Speaker A: Most people are not using. And I just. Just from observing, like, clients, people that I work with, every day, they pull out a pin. It's usually the pilot.
[00:11:56] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:57] Speaker A: Pilot. G2.
[00:11:57] Speaker B: Yep. That's my pen.
[00:11:59] Speaker A: So. Therefore, why would I waste money on putting my logo on a pen that you're not going to use?
[00:12:04] Speaker B: What if you put it on that pen?
[00:12:07] Speaker C: No.
[00:12:08] Speaker A: No. Still no.
[00:12:10] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:12:10] Speaker B: All right. Fair.
[00:12:12] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm still going. I'd rather go Stanley Cup.
Hey, welcome to Pseudonyms. Do we.
[00:12:20] Speaker B: Yeah, no, we haven't. This is Suit, and we found a place we can record. We were talking about maybe not even saying the name of the podcast when we recorded.
[00:12:29] Speaker C: Right.
[00:12:30] Speaker A: I did say that a little loosely.
[00:12:32] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:12:32] Speaker B: I was like, no, I Don't think
[00:12:34] Speaker C: that goes over there. Remember,
[00:12:37] Speaker A: you'll walk. You'll be walking the alley right here, and you'll hear every conversation, people singing, people. And you're like, what the. You kind of want to answer them.
It's like they're right there.
[00:12:48] Speaker B: Did you know that I spent, like, almost a full year of my life here?
[00:12:53] Speaker A: Here?
[00:12:54] Speaker B: Yeah, down at the other pier.
[00:12:56] Speaker C: My.
[00:12:56] Speaker B: My.
[00:12:57] Speaker A: What other pier is there?
[00:12:58] Speaker B: The one with rubies.
It's like the next pier down, just a couple blocks.
My uncle rented that first house next to the bike shop for, like a year, so we were just all in and out of here all the time.
[00:13:11] Speaker A: How old were you?
[00:13:13] Speaker B: 14 to 15, bro.
[00:13:15] Speaker A: You were homeschooled?
[00:13:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:16] Speaker A: Oh, the fucking made home base right here. You probably didn't, though.
[00:13:19] Speaker B: No, I mean, I was here for, like, three weeks at a time sometimes.
[00:13:22] Speaker A: Yeah?
[00:13:23] Speaker B: Yeah, I would just bring my stuff with me.
[00:13:24] Speaker A: Slaying ass, huh?
[00:13:27] Speaker B: What do you mean by that?
My cousins.
[00:13:30] Speaker A: No, they were too old.
[00:13:35] Speaker B: Nah. I'm the oldest, unfortunately.
Nobody come at me. Look, it's a beautiful day.
We.
We've got. We've got our hot Topics, but is there anything else weighing on people's minds?
[00:13:50] Speaker C: No.
[00:13:50] Speaker A: We had so much we were talking about before this, and then.
[00:13:52] Speaker B: Yeah, you want to talk? I thought you didn't want to talk about it, so I pivoted.
[00:13:57] Speaker C: No, I just don't remember what was so.
[00:14:00] Speaker B: Okay, I'm gonna go here.
Brooks did not want to go here.
No, no. Well, when we first recorded the episode, he was concerned that if someone found the podcast and it sounded like he was kind of talking shit on people, that it would.
[00:14:16] Speaker C: Perfect. That's why I'm here.
[00:14:18] Speaker B: It would. Yeah, it would be. And I agree, it would not be a good look, and it wouldn't be representative of who he is, really. So I agree. Not doing that.
So the one time that you featured prominently in the story was you needed a break and you peaced out for a little while, and then number two comes and bothers you, and then we never really heard that perspective because Brooks wasn't there for it.
[00:14:45] Speaker C: I put it in. In short, in a short story.
What set me off was the first day.
So my grandparents live out there. So I went to go see my grandparents, and then leaving them is like a family member dying. Okay. So, like, my world's ending. So then I come back to the hotel, and everyone's got situated. Okay. My baggage is, like, sitting at the front.
[00:15:12] Speaker B: Your literal.
[00:15:13] Speaker C: Yes, literally.
And so I'm like, okay, like Obviously he has the, the master. I'm not gonna, you know, touch that.
And so then I go into the second bedroom and I'm like, okay, you know, there's four women that will be sharing two beds.
That makes sense. Okay, so who am I? Like, I'm in here, I'm in this room.
So I'm sit, like I'm just recouping myself, like getting gathered with my emotions and I'm assuming I'm in that room. So I bring my stuff into that room and I'm again still getting myself gathered from leaving my grandparents.
And then it's like 30 minutes later they come back and the first thing I hear is like, I don't know. We tap tapped this room.
[00:16:02] Speaker B: Who said that?
[00:16:04] Speaker C: Number two. Okay. Okay.
[00:16:06] Speaker B: And I'm like, and who's we? Her number three.
[00:16:09] Speaker C: Her number three.
[00:16:10] Speaker A: And what do we call big country.
[00:16:13] Speaker C: Yeah, big country.
So I'm like, okay, that really funny
[00:16:17] Speaker B: to me that we call her big country.
[00:16:19] Speaker A: The first thing I around sometimes and almost like refer to her as big country to other people.
[00:16:24] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a lore dropping a little lore.
[00:16:26] Speaker C: But yeah. So the first thing I hear is that. And I'm just like in an emotional state date. So it really rubbed me the wrong way. So I was like, okay, well I've already done a scan of this whole place. Where am I to be?
You know? So then I'm like, okay, well that leaves me on like in the living room, which is like there's like a day bed kind of. And then there's a pull out bed on the couch.
Well then someone states that number four is going to be on that day bed. So then I'm on the pull out like of the couch.
[00:16:58] Speaker B: What's a day bed exactly?
[00:17:00] Speaker A: Like it's just like a twin size bed.
[00:17:01] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:17:02] Speaker A: That pulls out of the wall, but
[00:17:03] Speaker C: it's already sitting there. But it's in the living room. So it's like the living room slash dining room slash kitchen.
[00:17:09] Speaker B: So you're in the mix with people who are up and doing their thing.
[00:17:12] Speaker A: Community area.
[00:17:13] Speaker B: But the pull out is also out there.
[00:17:15] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:17:16] Speaker B: Oh boy.
[00:17:17] Speaker C: Okay. So I'm like, okay, if that's what we're doing. I'm putting the bed down. Half of my shit's going on the other side of my queen. And you guys are not to sit there. Okay. This is all I have. You're not sitting there. You have one chair right there or you have the dining room table to go sit at.
[00:17:31] Speaker B: This is myself.
[00:17:32] Speaker C: Yeah, because this is you guys.
[00:17:33] Speaker A: This Is myself.
[00:17:34] Speaker C: You guys just established a whole fucking, like, other side of the fucking mansion. Right?
[00:17:39] Speaker B: You know, if I was there, I. My sincere advice to you would have been to fight big country for dominance over the room.
[00:17:48] Speaker C: Well, that's not.
[00:17:49] Speaker B: If you, if you knock that out, the rest will listen to you.
[00:17:53] Speaker A: You'll be king of the.
[00:17:56] Speaker B: You'll be the pod boss.
You're gonna be the pod.
[00:18:00] Speaker C: So, yeah, that just really rubbed me the wrong way and it kind of set the tone for the rest of. Because it's like in my head, I'm obviously not very present with those siblings, like every day. I'm not asking for that kind of like sibling dominance. But I am older than you. I am your older sibling. Like, you should have some inkling of respect of like, you know, like that. Just so that's all I have to really say because that's what led the rest of my tone of that trip. And then it was very clicky. Like the two other older siblings.
Number four is attached to his hip. I'm there to essentially border between him.
[00:18:41] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. You were buffer. You were the buffer.
[00:18:45] Speaker C: Not getting buffed very much.
[00:18:47] Speaker B: And then.
[00:18:48] Speaker C: Yeah, so that was where like, it just. It was very hard to act like you guys didn't just piss me off. The moment I sat, like, step foot in here.
[00:18:57] Speaker B: It's a bit aggressive.
[00:18:58] Speaker A: You see that for sure.
[00:19:00] Speaker B: I.
I would have just.
I mean, if you put stuff down, just would have been like, all right, she got it. Yeah, I'll be on the pull out. Like, I know no one wants to do that other than number four of my room.
[00:19:14] Speaker C: Yeah, he did offered up my room.
[00:19:16] Speaker A: I didn't mind, but it was like,
[00:19:19] Speaker C: really? Like, I'm not gonna pull that.
[00:19:22] Speaker A: I offered her to even stay in the room and I'd stay in there. It'd be like the cool kids room. You know what I mean? It was a big ass bed.
[00:19:28] Speaker C: Yeah, it was. I was fine with that too. But also you had midnight phone calls that you were attending to, so didn't want.
[00:19:36] Speaker B: This is the first time hearing this.
[00:19:40] Speaker A: You know how I run sort of.
No, it's when me and started dating.
[00:19:45] Speaker B: Okay, Right.
[00:19:46] Speaker A: So we were talking at night.
[00:19:47] Speaker B: Miami.
[00:19:50] Speaker C: Is that Miami?
[00:19:51] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:19:52] Speaker B: Oh, I keep getting confused with whose other one. Pieces are falling into place.
[00:19:56] Speaker C: You call another one. Another state or city.
[00:19:59] Speaker B: Oh, Boston.
[00:20:01] Speaker C: Boston. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:20:02] Speaker B: No, we don't talk about.
[00:20:02] Speaker C: Okay, yeah, that makes sense.
[00:20:07] Speaker A: That's the Red Sox.
[00:20:10] Speaker B: Thank you for doing the baseball one. There were many choices for you to take, but you're with me. So does she still listen?
[00:20:18] Speaker A: I think so.
[00:20:18] Speaker B: Wow. Hanging in there.
[00:20:20] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:20:21] Speaker B: Now she's. She's waiting for this whole Miami thing to. To play out.
[00:20:25] Speaker C: There was times you'd say, miami, and I'm like, why is he still talking to her while he's talking to.
[00:20:30] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:20:31] Speaker C: So I was getting confused.
[00:20:32] Speaker B: You thought you were gonna blow the whistle?
[00:20:34] Speaker C: No, no, no.
[00:20:35] Speaker B: You were like.
[00:20:36] Speaker C: I was like, this is so wrong.
[00:20:37] Speaker B: Wait for her to put me up.
I will drop down. Well, guess who. He's still talking. Get to you.
[00:20:43] Speaker A: The cool thing about Boston is if anytime I say, hey, I'm entering into, like, I. I met someone, I'm seeing someone, she just stops calling.
And then, like, every now and then, she'll send a text of like, hey, just checking in on you.
[00:20:58] Speaker B: Yeah, that's really checking on your status.
[00:21:00] Speaker A: Yeah.
So that's. That's really it. So I do appreciate that aspect of it.
[00:21:06] Speaker C: That's good.
[00:21:07] Speaker A: It's better. It's better than being like, I told you, I'm with somebody. Stop calling.
[00:21:12] Speaker C: Yeah, well, yeah, I guess, you know.
[00:21:15] Speaker B: You like horror movies?
[00:21:17] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:21:18] Speaker B: Trailer for Werewolf just dropped Robert Eggers new movie. He did Nosferatu and the Lighthouse and the Witch. Never mind. All right, let's move on, guys.
Just, like, four of the biggest horror movies in the last 10 years.
[00:21:34] Speaker A: So I'm thinking, like, oh, like a psychological thriller. Yeah. Who doesn't like that? And he's like, it's got these werewolves and vampires.
Or Twilight 4.
[00:21:45] Speaker B: Did you see Nose for Attu or hear about it?
[00:21:48] Speaker A: I didn't know. No, I was confused when you said that, actually.
[00:21:50] Speaker B: Oh, man, am I in a bubble? This is how I find out. I'm in an echo chamber.
[00:21:54] Speaker C: Did you see Obsession?
[00:21:56] Speaker A: Okay, hold on, hold on. Because I was going there. I do have a question for you.
[00:21:59] Speaker B: The guys from Instagram.
[00:22:00] Speaker C: Yeah, Right.
[00:22:01] Speaker A: I want to see that movie. You just said that. The French one. Did you see that at Sundance festival or something?
[00:22:07] Speaker B: No.
So, okay, not funny. Do I need to defend Robert Eggers? Let me do the calculation.
[00:22:15] Speaker A: Nosferatu.
[00:22:16] Speaker B: I didn't know it was so Nosferatu was, like, an old, old vampire movie. Like, before Dracula even.
[00:22:23] Speaker A: It was your favorite movie's Jurassic park,
[00:22:26] Speaker B: and we're moving on. And.
And so this guy did, like, an updated Nosferatu that, like, also blended, like, some of the story of Dracula into it. And, like, the guy who played it was Nosferatu. I didn't even know the first two times I watched the movie that it was him. Because he was so transformed.
[00:22:46] Speaker A: Now that I know you're into vampires and werewolves, did you watch the Twilight series?
[00:22:52] Speaker B: No. I wouldn't say. Honest, I wouldn't say I'm into vampires. I went to the. This is going to sound good.
I went to the midnight showing of the second Twilight because there was a hot chick there, but that was it.
[00:23:05] Speaker A: Not because it was Twilight.
[00:23:07] Speaker B: I hadn't even seen the first one.
[00:23:09] Speaker A: You went at midnight?
[00:23:09] Speaker C: Okay, I've never seen this.
[00:23:10] Speaker A: Okay, so I've heard good stuff about Obsession. I don't know what it's about, but it's also got a good rating.
[00:23:16] Speaker C: It's about like.
It's not like, spoiler alert.
That's why I asked. But apparently it's like psychological. Like, I don't know. The producers are like millennials, right?
[00:23:27] Speaker B: Yeah. Well, they do, like, the funny skits on Instagram and then all of a sudden they're dropping this trailer for, like, a serious horror movie that's getting, like, a lot of traction. And, I mean, their Instagram skits look like feature films. Like, they're really good at.
[00:23:41] Speaker A: Really?
[00:23:41] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
But. Well, have you seen Hereditary?
[00:23:46] Speaker C: No.
[00:23:46] Speaker B: That's how I judge everyone's taste in horror. Because that's the scariest movie I've ever seen in my life. I was like, not okay for a day or two after I saw Hereditary.
So that's. That's my barometer for people's taste, I think.
[00:24:01] Speaker A: You told me to watch that before.
[00:24:02] Speaker C: It depends what it. Like, what is. What is it?
[00:24:07] Speaker B: I can't tell you much. Without spoiling it. The trailers were even kind of deceptive about what it's about, but let's just say like, a grandma passes away and it turns out she was into some shit. She was into, like, some rituals and satanic.
That's not even the worst part. The worst part is honestly, like, a tragedy occurs and Toni Collette gives what should have been an Oscar winning performance. When she responds to this tragedy, it's like three prolonged minutes of her on the ground screaming in agony. And it just, like, it fucked me up. Like, I literally walked out of the house the next morning on my way to work. Like, am I gonna see something fucked up in this yard when I come out here?
[00:24:55] Speaker A: What's the one?
Angel Studios produced it. It has Jim Cavaziel or whatever.
[00:25:02] Speaker B: Caviezel.
[00:25:03] Speaker A: Caviezel. And it's like child trafficking.
[00:25:06] Speaker B: Oh, Sound of Freedom.
[00:25:08] Speaker A: Sound of Freedom.
[00:25:09] Speaker B: Great movie.
[00:25:10] Speaker A: I watched like eight minutes and turned it off. Couldn't do it.
That like.
[00:25:15] Speaker B: Like, it because of the content.
[00:25:17] Speaker A: Just the kids playing on the bed. I was like, just don't sit right with me.
[00:25:21] Speaker C: That's how I feel about Amber Alert movies.
[00:25:23] Speaker B: Yeah, those ones me up, but they.
[00:25:25] Speaker C: They.
[00:25:25] Speaker A: Barbie and Kin murderers.
They have something in there where they kind of. What they did was basically pick up chicks and. And, like, drug them and.
[00:25:35] Speaker B: Oh, right, right. Yeah, I've heard of that.
[00:25:37] Speaker A: Just, like, go to town with them on some things.
[00:25:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:25:41] Speaker A: And, like, nice. The way that they, like, just the. The people that sat in on the jury or the hearing because they were recording. Even the, like the guy who studies blood and. And the pathologist maybe and all that. They all said they either, like. Like some of the jurors said, I didn't sleep with my husband for six months. Some of them was like, I cannot hear that noise without thinking about that couple. They didn't even partake in it. They weren't the victims. They were just in the court hearing, watching the videos.
[00:26:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:26:13] Speaker A: And even the, like, the pathologist dude was like, I had to step away for. For my trip, for my career for a little bit. Like, I had to leave for a little bit before I could, like, go.
It is. It is. Those things, like, when I was watching that documentary, like, my stomach was, like, weak. I was like, oh, this. This don't feel right. This doesn't feel good. That's how I feel about that Sound of freedom. Like, I can't get into it, dude.
[00:26:37] Speaker B: It just.
[00:26:38] Speaker A: It just.
[00:26:38] Speaker B: I. It made me wildly uncomfortable, but I powered through because I had a feeling like, they're not going to show anything crazy.
So, like, I think I can get through this. And then, like, they did an amazing job at, like, not showing anything but making you very clear at what was going on.
[00:26:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:26:58] Speaker B: And, yeah, it got a little.
[00:27:00] Speaker A: I could probably do it if I had, like, some peanut Butter M&M's, but without those, I'm screwed.
[00:27:08] Speaker B: My Rape Comfort food.
By the way, why is there not a stage name of Rape Comfort play on Ray Comfort. That should be my punk name for sure.
Wow, man. But it was a good movie.
[00:27:28] Speaker A: Rape Comfort.
[00:27:30] Speaker B: No, if your stage name.
[00:27:32] Speaker A: If your stage name was Rape Comfort.
[00:27:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:27:35] Speaker A: I'd be like, damn. That's like, is he comforting those who have been raped? Like, that's.
[00:27:41] Speaker B: He's like, well, I'm really. I'm betting on you knowing who Ray Comfort is.
[00:27:50] Speaker A: What we would say as kids when guys would date or, like, girls in distress.
[00:27:55] Speaker B: Wow.
[00:27:55] Speaker C: I was on Love island, huh?
[00:27:58] Speaker A: Oh, really?
[00:27:58] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:27:59] Speaker A: No, that's. That's what we call, like, a guy that'll go save, like, that chick that is, like, not being treated right.
Just Captain Save a ho. Or like a chick that's really loose and he wants to, like, tire down figuratively. Or a guy that steps.
Yeah, yeah.
So, yeah, interesting. Have they said, can't make a hoe a housewife too on there?
[00:28:24] Speaker C: No, no.
[00:28:25] Speaker A: This is sweeping the nation.
[00:28:28] Speaker B: Love Island. Yeah.
[00:28:29] Speaker C: Yeah. You guys, I was like, I want you guys to watch it so bad just so I can hear you guys talk about it.
[00:28:35] Speaker A: I watched, honestly, an episode and I was like, I'm going to bed. It was 8 o', clock. And I was like, I'm out of here.
[00:28:42] Speaker C: Why don't you like it?
Because you started late.
[00:28:47] Speaker A: No, it's my. It's. It's thoughtless. It's thoughtless to me.
It's.
[00:28:52] Speaker B: Isn't that why people like it, though?
[00:28:54] Speaker A: Well, no, no, but it's a bunch of people that are like, you already. You. I already know how all these relationships end.
Maybe 1, 2 out of 10 max succeed. They're still together. Okay.
[00:29:06] Speaker C: You know what it's about, really?
[00:29:07] Speaker A: Not. Not a clue. But the episode, it's a fine plot, these guys and girls.
[00:29:15] Speaker B: It's not based on a novel. Yeah.
[00:29:17] Speaker A: They're talking to their mom like, oh, I love her. Oh, my God, they're so perfect for you. And you're like, this is.
[00:29:23] Speaker C: Dude, what season are you watching?
[00:29:27] Speaker A: I. I don't. I don't know. I know they're watching. They turned it on last night, the one that was live last night. And I was like, going to take a guys. And I got up and I farted right as I walked past all of them.
[00:29:37] Speaker B: Can I. I think my problem, because my wife watches the Real Housewife shows
[00:29:42] Speaker A: and I get into that.
[00:29:43] Speaker B: I get into some real problem with it is that I've known people like this in my life and I avoid those people purposely. Like, I don't want this in my life, so why would I just want to enjoy it?
[00:29:57] Speaker A: I think Housewives in general, reality TV in general, outside of Love Islands, I don't know enough about it, but Housewives, as you were saying earlier, like, when we talked about the question of is reality TV more honest than scripted? And you're like, how reality is scripted. It is to where they put them in those situations, to have these situations occur. But there is a lot of, like, toxicity on there of arguing and stuff. I don't know about that. About Love Island. Love island for me is just one of those mindless Guy and girl dating games. And then there's so many. To me, they're all just kind of like the same at the end. And I want to say I watched Love island at the very beginning when it first came out, probably because some of the people on the challenge, I believe, were on the Love Island. That blonde chick, the tall blonde chick, ends up being with one of the black dudes on the challenge.
[00:30:49] Speaker C: Oh, I know who you're talking about. Wait, no, I don't.
[00:30:54] Speaker B: Do you remember a guy named Chris Williamson or something like that on that show? No, it's like, a British guy.
Okay.
[00:31:03] Speaker C: I've only watched, like, maybe I watched season four and then six through season eight.
[00:31:09] Speaker B: He was probably in an earlier season. He hosts the Modern Wisdom podcast now, and he's talked about, like, his past as, like, a club promoter and, like, on reality tv, and he, like, really hates all that now.
[00:31:22] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't.
[00:31:23] Speaker B: That they, like, purposely had less beds than people in the house so that you would be forced to, like, spend the night with someone.
[00:31:30] Speaker C: Yeah, they do do stuff like that where, like, I've seen, like, people, like, they call them islanders. So, like, past islanders have come off the show and spoken about, like, how producers kind of, like.
Like, for example, if, like, they're fighting with, like, one of their couples that they're in, they'll be like, oh, well, like, so and so. Like, I heard them say this. Like, you should go have this conversation with them.
[00:31:50] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:31:50] Speaker C: Because, like, they obviously don't have their phones and stuff, and there's moments where they are. Are isolated from, like, other islanders that are on the show for obviously, like, just content reasons, but it's entertaining.
Can't say it's gonna give someone true love necessarily, but, I mean, it's giving me.
Right on the dot. 5:30.
[00:32:15] Speaker A: What's that?
Oh, Love island tonight. Yeah.
Yeah. We were thinking going to get seafood later, if you guys want to join.
Maybe you could enjoy. Unless you're allergic. You can join your wife's home with the kiddo. Yeah, she understands. She's like, yeah. Oh, this is your podcast friend.
[00:32:36] Speaker C: I know. I was gonna ask. What did you tell her and what did she say?
[00:32:42] Speaker B: I said, brooks is in town, and I'm gonna go hang out, and we're all three gonna do a podcast.
[00:32:48] Speaker C: She's like, huh, sure.
[00:32:51] Speaker B: I mean, she didn't really respond at all. She. She really tunes out when it comes to anything I'm interested in.
[00:32:58] Speaker A: You think I'd get some ones for parking?
[00:33:03] Speaker B: Can I just have, like, 10 bucks
[00:33:04] Speaker A: for I was just talking about singles for the strip club. Ah.
[00:33:10] Speaker B: You know.
Yeah, no, she didn't have a strong reaction to it one way or the other. But
[00:33:17] Speaker A: yeah, we're probably gonna play some games.
[00:33:21] Speaker B: All right.
[00:33:21] Speaker A: Big, big game guy.
[00:33:22] Speaker B: Yeah, I know.
Yeah, you like the complicated ones too.
[00:33:27] Speaker A: Not so much anymore. Because you. You don't really hold people in. People are like, I'm out.
[00:33:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:33:32] Speaker A: One or two games are like, we
[00:33:34] Speaker B: got some Uno Yahtzee. I could get behind learning a like,
[00:33:40] Speaker C: oh, my God, kryptonite.
[00:33:42] Speaker A: So I got to keep it simple.
[00:33:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:33:44] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:33:47] Speaker B: All right. So we talked about Disney World. We cleared the air there.
[00:33:50] Speaker A: Let's pull up those questions.
[00:33:51] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:33:52] Speaker C: What section are you guys on?
[00:33:54] Speaker A: We did the food one. We're on the next one down. Which, mind you, that was really cool. Cuz they had sections. We learned that last week.
[00:34:01] Speaker C: I mean, that's okay.
[00:34:07] Speaker B: By the way, guys, we got the episode out on Monday.
[00:34:09] Speaker A: I mean, that was smooth.
[00:34:11] Speaker B: We recorded a day late. It was a three hour podcast and you said it wouldn't be on Monday. We did it.
[00:34:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:34:18] Speaker B: That was go team, go.
[00:34:19] Speaker A: Yeah, that was good. That was good, dude.
So if you're listening, you're only a couple days behind.
[00:34:24] Speaker C: Okay. I say we do relationships and friendships. Hot takes.
[00:34:28] Speaker A: Let's do it.
[00:34:29] Speaker B: I'm into it.
[00:34:30] Speaker C: Okay. Should texting back late be considered rude, or is everyone entitled to their own pace?
[00:34:36] Speaker A: I gotta take.
[00:34:38] Speaker B: Go for it.
[00:34:40] Speaker A: If it goes from. Here's the thing. If you know their habits, if there's someone with their cell phone constantly on them and every time you're in their presence, they're like, oh, hold on. Or they're doing oh. And then you text and it's like two, three hours later. You're like, I know you didn't just have a lot of hair. If you have to be like, I'm gonna leave it on the counter and just go do my thing. No, no.
So there's that aspect, but then there's also the aspect of, like, if, you know, habitually they leave their phone in their room and they go do around the house. Not so much.
So for me, it's like, it's dependent on that. Now if we go from like, back forth, back forth to like, all of a sudden, like, I'm now getting 10, 20 minute responses.
Maybe they're not saying that as like a you, but my 10 minute responses back to them is a you.
[00:35:45] Speaker B: All right.
[00:35:46] Speaker A: You know, oh, 20 minutes. Cool. I'll be back after I go do something.
[00:35:51] Speaker C: Do you ever doom. Scroll Now,
[00:35:57] Speaker A: I was misconceived on doom scrolling because I figured doom scrolling was just scrolling in general.
[00:36:03] Speaker B: It is now.
[00:36:04] Speaker A: It is. Okay. That's kind of what I've always originally like.
[00:36:07] Speaker B: I think it originated in 2020 during the lockdowns, but originally it was like, you're just scrolling bad news and, yeah, doom. But now it just means scrolling endlessly.
[00:36:16] Speaker A: So in that sense, do I doom scroll?
There's maybe a day, a week where I'll come home and I'll just sit on the couch and I'm like.
And then I'll just open my phone and it'll be like one Instagram after another. For the most part, not so much. I could just burn through time. And I know that doing that.
[00:36:33] Speaker C: Okay. Because I was gonna say when I doom scroll, I did not want to text back.
[00:36:38] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm not, like, focused on my entire phone all at once.
[00:36:42] Speaker A: Like, if I'm on Instagram, horrible at response. Actually, dude, yeah.
[00:36:46] Speaker B: Yeah, pretty bad.
[00:36:47] Speaker A: So, no, I don't really take it as a fuck you, because I'm always like.
Although he's like, has his phone right next to him, has no restrictions on using it, he chooses to leave it wherever and go hang out with his kid.
[00:36:59] Speaker B: I do leave it places for prolonged periods. But, like, if I'm on Instagram and like, messaging with people on Instagram, I'm not going back to my texts and doing all that. I might even, like, finish Instagram, put the phone down for a while, and then get back to my text later.
[00:37:14] Speaker C: Jimmy.
You guys really well, Jimmy.
Jimmy.
[00:37:20] Speaker A: Okay, so I actually think you should take her second Jimmy. Instead of bleeping the name, just pop that one in there real quick.
[00:37:30] Speaker B: All right.
[00:37:30] Speaker A: It's like, Jimmy.
[00:37:31] Speaker B: And then it doesn't match. Yeah, exactly. What if we bleep everything with Jimmy just for sake?
[00:37:38] Speaker C: Jimmy. Yeah, it's every word. That's Jimmy.
[00:37:42] Speaker A: Here's where I was going earlier, and we. We put. We saved it and you kind of brought me back this.
Phone calls.
Yeah, we made the comment of, like, we don't ever talk during the week because we try and save it for the podcast.
[00:37:55] Speaker C: Correct.
[00:37:56] Speaker A: And then you're like, oh, yeah, that's what we. And I was like, no, she just does. Yeah, no, she just doesn't answer the phone. And then you start to go somewhere it was asked to be saved.
[00:38:06] Speaker C: Yeah, well, I feel like our phone calls go like, so, baby girl, what have you been up to? And then I say. And then there's like five seconds of silence. And then that Happened for a little bit.
Cool. And then there's more silence. And then there's another random.
[00:38:26] Speaker B: You hear his thumb.
[00:38:29] Speaker C: He's dim scrolling while I'm telling him what's been going on.
[00:38:34] Speaker A: There were two or three calls like that. And then I was like, no, you're right. I should probably. I'll be more engaged.
We haven't really talked since then. We talked like twice.
[00:38:44] Speaker C: Yeah, I've been scarred too.
[00:38:47] Speaker A: Wow. So, okay, here's where I'm at with phone calls.
I'm someone that is like when I'm in the car, that's my phone call time.
[00:38:56] Speaker C: Get me too.
[00:38:57] Speaker B: I hate talking on the phone in the car.
[00:38:59] Speaker A: And then once I get out the car, I don't want to talk on the phone.
[00:39:01] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:39:02] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:39:03] Speaker A: That's kind of how I am. Just because I know whatever's in front of me, I'm giving my attention to whether it's, I don't know, fixing my glasses, taking a link. I will watch whatever it is. I'm like, oh, yeah. And I think I could multitask and I can't. Or maybe I'm doom scrolling. That day.
[00:39:20] Speaker C: He's hit unk status that day.
[00:39:25] Speaker B: I just feel like this is a problem that only exists with modern technology.
Like back in the day, you'd call someone, you'd leave a message on the machine and it might take six hours for them to call you back. Like, why? Why work? Yeah, but like, why?
Just because you've got your phone on you doesn't mean you're not busy or you're distracted or something. So it's like, it's. It's weird that there's like, it's expected of you to always be on your phone and like ready to respond to every message.
[00:39:57] Speaker C: Are you getting defensive?
[00:40:01] Speaker B: I am sort of defending my actions, but you're right.
[00:40:03] Speaker A: But you're also. I mean, that's the whole point. We expect it because the. It's. It's readily with you at all times.
[00:40:09] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:40:09] Speaker A: And I don't think I would expect it if we didn't live with our phones in our face all the time.
[00:40:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:40:16] Speaker A: You know what I mean? Like, it's like the one thing you realize you forgot somewhere. If you forgot anything, you're like, oh, my phone.
[00:40:23] Speaker C: My thing is I have an attitude problem. So if you call me when I'm not in a good mood, you're gonna hear that I'm not in a good mood.
So that's why I don't answer.
Or I think it's going to Be too long of a phone call.
[00:40:37] Speaker A: Yeah, that's the other one. Like, if it's a long phone call.
[00:40:39] Speaker C: Yeah, I just.
[00:40:40] Speaker A: Like, I. I just set myself up, but, like, dude, I got to go for a car ride or something.
[00:40:45] Speaker C: Yeah,
[00:40:49] Speaker A: yeah, that's where I'm at with that. All right, what's the first question on that friendship relationship?
[00:40:55] Speaker C: We answered it.
[00:40:56] Speaker B: Yeah, that was the one.
[00:40:58] Speaker C: Is ghosting ever acceptable or always disrespectful?
[00:41:06] Speaker B: I think if.
If I were to not ghost, you and I would be unkind.
[00:41:13] Speaker A: Can we. Can we define ghosting first?
[00:41:15] Speaker C: Yeah, I was about to say, because I feel like. Well, you're married for how long?
[00:41:19] Speaker B: Six years, I think.
[00:41:20] Speaker C: Have you ever ghosted like.
Like, ex lover or situation? I don't know.
[00:41:27] Speaker B: Kind of.
[00:41:28] Speaker A: Okay, yeah, Bigfoot.
[00:41:29] Speaker C: Like, what would you consider. Well, what would you. What would you. What would your term of ghosting be? Because you are married now?
[00:41:36] Speaker B: Well, like, I. Message. So we're talking ghosting only in a romantic context.
[00:41:40] Speaker C: I mean, that's how I always hear it.
[00:41:41] Speaker A: Okay, well, it's a ghosting in any situation. I want to say in that question, that's a like. But I am curious, is it a lack of not responding to my engagement, or is it just, like, you might engage, but then, like, all of a sudden, like, we don't ever talk forever?
[00:41:57] Speaker C: I just think it's different for everyone sitting here right now.
[00:42:01] Speaker B: Yeah, I think it's just, like, a prolonged period of, like, not responding to someone.
[00:42:05] Speaker A: But it'd have to be like, an engage where I send a text, and then you just don't respond ever.
[00:42:11] Speaker C: Because it's almost. Because, like, that's like, just saying, like, you ignored my text. It's different. Saying you ignored my text is so much different than being like, you ghosted me.
[00:42:19] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, it would have to be, like, weeks or months. Right.
[00:42:22] Speaker A: I also think ghosting is dependent on the relationship, actually.
[00:42:25] Speaker C: Exactly. Well, that's what. Yeah. And, like, the what is being ghosted.
[00:42:29] Speaker A: You ghost me, bro.
I mean, I would care just because of our friendship, but a guy ghosting me in general, I'd be like, oh, he's busy.
[00:42:37] Speaker B: Well, it wouldn't be that temporary. It would be like, I don't show up for the podcast on Wednesday. I don't respond to your text for, like, weeks at a time. Like, that would have to be ghosting.
[00:42:45] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah.
[00:42:46] Speaker B: Otherwise, it is just not responding.
[00:42:48] Speaker A: It's a whole active lifestyle.
[00:42:50] Speaker B: Yeah, I. I texted a girl that I had previously dated before I met my wife, and she didn't respond to me. It was, like, on Facebook Messenger. So she didn't see it or respond to me until, like, years later when I was married, and I just deleted the message and never read it or responded to it. So, like, I ghosted her. Technically, I'd say, yeah, okay.
[00:43:15] Speaker C: I could take that.
Yeah, kind of. That's like.
[00:43:19] Speaker A: Kind of only because, like. Like, why didn't you text her?
[00:43:24] Speaker C: He was with his girl.
[00:43:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, married and living in a different state, and it's a lifestyle. Yeah, it was a whole lifestyle at the time, so.
[00:43:32] Speaker A: And so much time had passed that she possibly could have got a new number.
[00:43:38] Speaker B: Oh, why didn't I tell. Yes. I thought you were asking why I didn't respond.
No. Yeah, I don't remember. Yeah. I probably just assumed that it was a new number or.
Or. No, you know what it was. She had messaged me on there before, like, after we stopped dating, but I was with Bigfoot.
[00:43:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:43:57] Speaker B: So then when Bigfoot and I broke up, I was like, all right, now's the time. You want to get coffee? And then. Well, now it's 2021, so, no, I don't. I don't want to get a coffee.
So, yeah, I've done that. I would say I ghosted JJ because he was acting.
[00:44:19] Speaker A: That was toxic.
[00:44:20] Speaker B: Yeah. And I wouldn't have been kind if we'd spoken, so I chose to ghost.
[00:44:25] Speaker C: Sure.
[00:44:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:44:27] Speaker C: Well, do you think it. So back to the question.
[00:44:29] Speaker A: Do you think it's disrespectful?
[00:44:31] Speaker C: Yeah.
Is it ever acceptable or always disrespectful?
[00:44:36] Speaker B: I think in that example I just gave, it was acceptable.
[00:44:40] Speaker C: Yeah. I think situations.
[00:44:43] Speaker A: I.
Yeah, I think. I think it can be acceptable if it's one of those toxic things where you're like.
You're not saying anything positive. You're not saying anything. Like, there's nothing kind coming out of your mouth. You don't want to hear it. I'm out. And then there's the. Like, really, I've been nothing but good to you. Why wouldn't you at least give me an explanation?
[00:45:06] Speaker C: Yeah. What do you. What's your take on that?
[00:45:09] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, in that. In that case, I'd say disrespectful.
[00:45:13] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:45:14] Speaker A: I think it varies.
[00:45:15] Speaker C: I think it does, too. I don't know. I don't think everybody deserves a explanation all the time.
[00:45:21] Speaker B: No. If they're being shitty.
[00:45:23] Speaker C: Yeah. No. Even good. I'm just like, okay, sorry.
[00:45:26] Speaker B: All right.
[00:45:27] Speaker A: You live a different life than we live.
On the other line. Like this?
[00:45:37] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:45:38] Speaker A: What's okay.
[00:45:39] Speaker C: Sorry. Mean,
[00:45:42] Speaker A: she's not responding.
Hey, number one, what's it mean when she's not responding?
[00:45:48] Speaker C: What if it's just not even that deep?
[00:45:50] Speaker B: What does that mean?
[00:45:54] Speaker C: What if it's just not that deep? Like, okay, my realm of where this kind of takes place more is like casual dating.
[00:46:03] Speaker A: That's what. Exactly.
[00:46:05] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:46:06] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:46:06] Speaker C: Why do I have to be like, sorry, this is just not working, or you know what I mean? Like, I'm out of there.
[00:46:10] Speaker B: That's.
I think it's just polite to. Not that I've ever done this, but I think it's polite to just be forthcoming with like, hey, you know, I had fun, but I don't think this is brilliant.
[00:46:24] Speaker C: But you still think it's disrespectful.
[00:46:27] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, if it's the opposite of polite, why wouldn't it be?
[00:46:29] Speaker B: Only because I've been ghosted. So like, I know.
[00:46:32] Speaker C: Well, so have I. Yeah.
[00:46:34] Speaker B: So like, I know. That's like it. It feels like. It feels like a loose end. Well, you're like, well, did she.
[00:46:40] Speaker A: It feels like for her, it's a.
[00:46:42] Speaker B: Like a power move.
[00:46:44] Speaker A: No, it was a little sensitive. It was like, yeah, I've been ghosted. So have I.
[00:46:50] Speaker C: I'm sitting here talking like, I'm only the ghoster. Like, no, I also been.
[00:46:55] Speaker B: There's a reason I ghost. You're saying hurt, Hurt people. Hurt people. Hurt people, basically.
[00:47:01] Speaker C: Well, yes, but like, I don't think it's also that deep.
[00:47:06] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't think it always is.
I think if you've gone on a date or two with someone just not responding anymore is. Is a little.
[00:47:15] Speaker A: I think if you've gone on a date, forget the two. You go on a date. He went else kind of. He's probably excited. And she's like, hey, And I've been there.
Hey, this isn't.
And what they usually say is, I don't think I'm ready to date. And I'm like, that's totally cool. I don't care either way.
Cuz I am. I do.
[00:47:38] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:47:38] Speaker A: Sorry it couldn't be you.
[00:47:41] Speaker B: What a lot. After you went on a date, you chose to go on a date. I was like, ah, you know, I think I'm just not really.
[00:47:48] Speaker A: There's another point. What kind of a dick move is that?
[00:47:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:47:52] Speaker A: To say, let's go on a date, we go out, of course I pay, because I'm the man.
And then get them home thinking, day two, when I make a move and you don't get a date too. And you're like, well, listen here, I think you owe me like 57.80.
[00:48:09] Speaker C: Oh my God.
[00:48:11] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:48:13] Speaker C: Who went on so many dates that it like paid for her dinner for a full year? God, like, that's smart.
[00:48:20] Speaker B: These gold digging whores.
I went on, I went on four dates with a chick and at least I want to say three of them were like pretty expensive dinners. And like not only was it just a ghost one day, it was like, I didn't get a handhold, I didn't get nothing. Dude, it was ridiculous.
Yeah.
[00:48:50] Speaker C: Well, all that's to say, I think it's fine.
[00:48:52] Speaker B: Yeah, we know.
[00:48:55] Speaker C: Okay, should couples merge finances completely or always keep some money?
[00:49:01] Speaker A: I do have a take on that. You guys start with yours. I'm gonna go get some more wine and then I can't wait. Cuz that's an actual like legit question that has come up in this new relationship.
[00:49:13] Speaker B: Why do you have two vapes?
[00:49:16] Speaker C: So I know his take.
Anyways,
[00:49:20] Speaker B: I'm going to say, well, marriage is kind of a given, right? Like if you're married, you're going to.
[00:49:28] Speaker C: Some people still don't agree with that though. In marriage we'll say, what's your take? Cuz I'm not.
[00:49:34] Speaker B: This might get cut out of the podcast.
I do have one account that my wife is a beneficiary on if I die, but she doesn't have access to it and her name's not on it as like an account holder. And there is part of me that's like, it's good to have this money. Like I should probably score a little, A little something away.
[00:49:55] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:49:55] Speaker B: In case I have to bolt into. Into the night, you know.
[00:49:58] Speaker C: Yeah.
But otherwise you guys are combined.
[00:50:04] Speaker B: Yeah, unfortunately. Yeah. She's on all my credit cards and my checking account and all that.
[00:50:08] Speaker C: And do you guys like, like for example, do you have a card and she has a card and you guys spend that way and like. Okay. When she spends something, does it like irk you?
[00:50:19] Speaker B: It used to. Now that she's the sole breadwinner, I don't really have room to complain. But yeah, I mean there was definitely a lot of overspending in early in our marriage.
So yeah. That was a pretty big issue between you or her.
[00:50:37] Speaker C: Did it lead to issues? Oh yeah, like, okay, yeah,
[00:50:43] Speaker B: yeah. It was just like she, you know, some people are just poor.
[00:50:47] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:50:48] Speaker B: No matter how much money they get.
Because poverty is more of a mindset.
And you know, she just, like her parents would wake her up in the middle of the night and move her out of a house because we aren't making rent and we're getting kicked out of here. So let's just bolt, you know? So it's like, that's how she grew up.
So, like, it doesn't matter to her whether credit cards get paid. It doesn't matter if we have to pay some.
What's my name?
[00:51:19] Speaker C: Sure.
[00:51:21] Speaker A: John. John.
[00:51:24] Speaker C: I was just saying the slur.
[00:51:27] Speaker A: We can't pay the Victoria's Secret bill this month.
Cool. It's all right, babe. It's all right.
[00:51:37] Speaker B: Yeah. No, so it is. It is very much like. Yeah. I mean, so we go to collections, like, what's the big deal? And it's just like. Well, it's, like, difficult, you know, Like. Like, once we had a house, it was like, hey, you know, like, once you have stuff, they'll, like, come and take it. Right?
[00:51:53] Speaker A: That's difficult, though, because that's where I kind of live. Where? She's like, Miami's like, like, wait, they repoed your car? I'm like, yeah, yeah. She's like, aren't you gonna pay that off? When I can, you know?
Don't you want to work on your credit?
Stop living to make sure that's all taken care of, you know?
[00:52:15] Speaker C: Sure.
[00:52:15] Speaker B: I mean, I understand that to an extent. Yeah.
To me, it was just like, I never had a balance on my credit card until we were engaged.
Like, I. I only spent money I had. I paid that shit off every month. And then all of a sudden, it's like, hey, you know, we don't have all that money that you're spending. And she's like, well, it's credit card.
You just pay it when you can
[00:52:39] Speaker A: take care of itself. It's like free money. It's like free money, baby.
[00:52:43] Speaker B: Not how.
[00:52:43] Speaker A: Hey, question in your situation, because you and
[00:52:50] Speaker C: I know.
[00:52:51] Speaker A: Let's call them. Let's call him Homie the Clown. You and Homie the clown were together for, like, a good minute.
[00:52:57] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:52:58] Speaker A: We felt like you guys had joint. You do we still.
[00:53:01] Speaker C: To this day.
[00:53:02] Speaker A: Okay, so.
Well, I guess that answers my question. Okay, well, hold on.
Follow up.
[00:53:09] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:53:09] Speaker A: Did that create issues for you guys, the bank account?
[00:53:11] Speaker C: Because essentially the only reason why we got a joint account was so I could get into the school's first credit union.
In order to do that, we had to show proof that we were starting a family. So us being on the same lease, was that proof for me to get into the credit union? Because I was on in bank of America and bank of America was like jipping me any second they could.
So when I got into the credit union, I had to have a joint account with him.
And then fast forward, we break up.
If you haven't caught on, this is my first real, real relationship. Okay, so we lived together. We were almost together for four years, had a joint bank account due to what I just explained, and then we broke up.
And it never was an issue because we were able to remove, like seeing each other's accounts on our main page. So it's like out of sight, out of mind. And there was no other, like cross referencing that happened on any of our accounts. So like, it was as if it wasn't joint. It is joint. I can.
[00:54:14] Speaker B: It's like look at his two accounts right now.
[00:54:16] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Two accounts on one. Yeah, yeah.
[00:54:18] Speaker C: Essentially. Yeah. Like, I can pull money from his account right now if I wanted to.
[00:54:21] Speaker B: Should we? Yeah, we're getting seafood later.
[00:54:25] Speaker C: Yeah. So fast forward. I tried to remove us from bean joint accounts when I applied for a loan to pay off credit card debt.
And I was like, yeah, while I'm here, can I like split these accounts? And like whoever I was talking to just, I don't know, played me.
So he's like, yeah, yeah, right, Okay. I haven't talked to this dude in maybe two years. I don't know. I get a text message like a week later or a month later saying like, hey, so your loan payment came out of my account.
Can you venmo me that like 200 and something. I was like, and he has a whole new girl, everything. I was like, dear God, like, why?
So, yeah, to this day.
[00:55:11] Speaker A: My bad, I've been mean to text you. Thanks.
My bad.
[00:55:18] Speaker B: But yeah, up until. Up until we moved to Oklahoma, she still had her name on an apartment right over here off 17th Street. And her ex boyfriend was living in it for like seven years.
[00:55:32] Speaker C: Oh, my God.
[00:55:34] Speaker A: Yeah, he's helping that when she spring this on you?
[00:55:37] Speaker B: We. I mean, like second, third date. Oh, I knew about it. Yeah, we went to pet sit for him once. Oh my God. Yeah, she had like a cat and then she just left the cat there when he moved in.
[00:55:50] Speaker A: Hey, do you compare yourself to him when you see him? Have you ever seen him?
[00:55:54] Speaker B: I've never met him in person.
[00:55:56] Speaker A: Oh, for real?
[00:55:57] Speaker B: I've seen pictures though.
[00:55:58] Speaker A: I was wondering if you like eyeball him, like when he's not looking like, what the.
[00:56:01] Speaker B: I'm taller, better looking.
[00:56:03] Speaker A: Well, what if you guys look alike?
[00:56:06] Speaker B: I mean, she's definitely into like skinny White dorks, sort of.
[00:56:11] Speaker A: But, like, oh, you can even take him.
[00:56:13] Speaker B: I'm kind of the king.
I'm not really worried.
Head of my class.
[00:56:18] Speaker A: Really?
[00:56:20] Speaker C: He's almost the next tier up.
[00:56:21] Speaker A: Head of my class. Really?
[00:56:24] Speaker B: Yeah. No. So, like, for our credit, when we were getting the apartment out in Oklahoma, we finally had to be like, hey, dude, you gotta. You gotta get out of here.
[00:56:31] Speaker C: That is so.
[00:56:32] Speaker B: But he worked at Disneyland and, like, made tons of money, and that apartment was only, like, 900 bucks a month.
[00:56:38] Speaker A: So it was just like, you're fucking up my dti.
[00:56:40] Speaker B: Just like, I knew this day was coming. All right, I'll go get a real apartment.
[00:56:44] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:56:44] Speaker C: Yeah, that's funny.
[00:56:47] Speaker A: You know what? I saved up enough. I think I'm gonna go put it down on the house.
[00:56:49] Speaker B: Yeah. She brought stuff over to her place when he was cleaning out the apartment. Like, stuff of hers that she had left.
And I was like, I don't know about that, but you did just have surgery on your uterus two weeks ago. So I guess. I guess I can. I can let this slide.
[00:57:08] Speaker C: Yeah. Oh, my gosh.
[00:57:11] Speaker A: That's gonna eat at you.
[00:57:13] Speaker C: So what's your problem?
[00:57:15] Speaker B: What's your problem?
[00:57:17] Speaker A: First, I want to say I could see your breaking point. It's gonna be one morning breakfast shouldn't serve you eggs. They're warm. They're not hot.
And that's the breaking point. You're gonna throw and be like, he lived in your apartment.
[00:57:35] Speaker B: Oh, no, we've definitely already had that moment.
[00:57:38] Speaker A: Did you really? I was wondering.
[00:57:39] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:57:41] Speaker A: What was your. Can I just hear your tone on it?
[00:57:43] Speaker B: Oh, let me see.
I'd have to remember even what the thing was.
[00:57:48] Speaker A: Did you punch in? Is that what was going on? Is that. Hey, is that the aggression? The birthday place of the Cardboard Experience?
[00:57:54] Speaker B: No.
[00:57:55] Speaker A: In Home Depot.
[00:57:56] Speaker B: No, no. I definitely got over all of that by the time we were married and especially once out to Oklahoma, because.
Well, no, no, no. Well, I should say.
Sorry. I'm referencing a previous conversation we had on the podcast where, like, I had a weird season. I don't know, like, what mentally was wrong with me, but I was, like, getting really hung up on her exes and, like, stalking them and, like, comparing myself to them. And, you know, they're not all like, that guy over there. Like, some of them were pretty cool,
[00:58:31] Speaker A: but someone that used to date Navy seal.
[00:58:36] Speaker B: It wasn't that, but it was like.
Like the singer of a hardcore band. And I was like, that's pretty cool. I don't know.
[00:58:45] Speaker A: You probably got a biker jacket and everything.
[00:58:48] Speaker B: But, yeah, like, there was no moment where I got over it. I just realized one day, like, by the time we were married, I was like, oh, yeah, that hasn't bothered me in a while. I wonder what that was about. So I don't know. The whole thing just probably moved too quick, to be honest.
We were engaged in four months.
[00:59:05] Speaker A: Shock and Woody.
[00:59:06] Speaker B: We were married at 10 months because of COVID so. Oh, we were supposed to be married.
[00:59:10] Speaker A: It's not the kid's name.
[00:59:14] Speaker B: That's the kid's name.
Covid. James, get down here.
No, we were supposed to be married in October, but the venue was up because of COVID so we got married in May. So, like, we hadn't even known each other for a year when we got married.
[00:59:29] Speaker A: Was it a shocking wedding?
[00:59:31] Speaker B: No.
[00:59:31] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:59:32] Speaker B: No, we didn't have a kid for, like, three years.
[00:59:34] Speaker A: No.
[00:59:35] Speaker B: Yeah. 20. 23.
[00:59:37] Speaker A: Good for you, man.
[00:59:37] Speaker B: Yeah. Right on.
[00:59:39] Speaker A: Wasn't sure.
[00:59:39] Speaker B: I mean, we were kind of living together because of COVID Now, mind you,
[00:59:43] Speaker A: in the moment, I probably knew that, but, like, looking back, I don't know what came first, the chicken or the eggs.
[00:59:47] Speaker B: We weren't really talking much at that time, so you. You may not have known.
[00:59:50] Speaker A: Yeah, but I still followed you on Facebook.
[00:59:52] Speaker B: Yeah, no, we were. We were cream pieing for probably two years before it came along.
Let me see.
Anno Domini 2000.
Dropping thick raw loads, probably.
No. Yeah. So, yeah, we were married. Moved out to Oklahoma for almost three years before we had the kid.
[01:00:19] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:00:21] Speaker B: Yeah. So anyways, I can't really remember where I was going with that, but there was a breaking point at some point, and it was because I found. I found a text. So I. I looked at it during this crazy season. I looked at her phone when she went to the bathroom, and. And thank God, in her defense, she didn't respond to these fucking text messages.
But that guy was inviting her over for drinks and stuff like, well, after we met and like, even after we were engaged and stuff.
[01:00:50] Speaker C: And cats.
What, after you cat sit and all?
[01:00:53] Speaker B: No, I think we cat sit.
[01:00:55] Speaker A: Different guy or same guy.
[01:00:56] Speaker B: The guy who lived in the apartment.
[01:00:58] Speaker A: You kidding me?
[01:00:59] Speaker B: Yeah. So he didn't it after.
[01:01:01] Speaker A: I thought this was a different guy. Maybe the same guy.
[01:01:04] Speaker B: No, after what?
[01:01:05] Speaker A: After you saw that text message?
[01:01:07] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. No, that was like, when we got engaged. And then, like, he didn't move out of there until we moved to Oklahoma.
Yeah.
[01:01:16] Speaker A: And I'm gonna. I'm gonna corner that into what great restraint you had There.
What great restraint.
[01:01:23] Speaker B: Well, she didn't respond to these text messages unless she deleted her responses. But why would you delete your responses either way? Not the invite, Right.
[01:01:30] Speaker A: She's gotta go, babe.
[01:01:32] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, it kind of got there, but, I mean, it wasn't my apartment. It wasn't. I don't know this guy. Like, it did kind of feel like I'm overstepping my bounds by, like, forcing this.
[01:01:43] Speaker A: You're engaged.
[01:01:44] Speaker B: This guy who doesn't know she' a relationship.
[01:01:46] Speaker A: Are you engaged?
[01:01:47] Speaker C: I see. That's fair.
[01:01:48] Speaker B: There were texts before and after our engagement. Yeah.
[01:01:51] Speaker A: You're engaged at this point, you find it.
[01:01:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:01:54] Speaker A: Babe, there's a. There's a. There's a line in the sand. Yeah. You could do the right thing and tell the to move or you just not my girl. And it's cool like. Well, it's cool like, you're. I need. I need to know you're gonna go through the storm with me.
[01:02:06] Speaker B: If I found out that they, like, hung out or she responded or something.
[01:02:14] Speaker A: He's in her place.
[01:02:15] Speaker B: I don't dare know I exist existed.
[01:02:17] Speaker A: She does.
[01:02:18] Speaker B: Yeah, true. But what did she do? Really?
[01:02:21] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:02:21] Speaker A: Let him live there.
[01:02:22] Speaker B: Sure.
[01:02:23] Speaker C: But I mean. I mean, out of sight.
[01:02:25] Speaker B: They were broken up when he moved in. They never lived there together. She was moving out and didn't want to take her name off of a very cheap apartment. So.
[01:02:34] Speaker C: That's fair. That.
[01:02:35] Speaker A: That's fair.
[01:02:35] Speaker B: So there was a moment when I thought they lived there together, and I was way more up about that. But then once I understood, like, the chronology.
[01:02:42] Speaker C: Unless you don't know, then you let your.
[01:02:44] Speaker B: Unless you was like, hey, if I were her, I would have lied.
[01:02:49] Speaker A: I get it, though. That's like asking my brother code.
[01:02:51] Speaker B: So there was a moment where she was pissed off at me about something, and she sends a shitty text. And I think my response was, why don't you go have a drink with Brad?
So, yeah, we definitely had a boiling point on that one. But, yeah.
Yeah.
[01:03:10] Speaker A: Glad this is therapy for someone.
My take is the factor is based on kids.
Like, what if it's your. You don't have any kids. Sure.
And you guys are serious. Like, you're gonna get married or you're seriously in the relationship. Maybe you've been dating for 10 years. I don't give a. Sure. But if you have kids. And I say this from my point of view now, having kids, entering a second relationship, it's like, no. And me and her. Me and her have had that conversation. Like, that's yours. When you die, it's left to your kids. This is mine. When I die, it's left to my kids. I've known them longer.
[01:03:50] Speaker C: Yeah, you know, I've known them longer.
[01:03:53] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, I guess I. I will. Yeah. Kids from different relationships definitely complicates.
[01:03:59] Speaker A: Trump the partner.
[01:04:01] Speaker B: Well, yeah, I mean, it just complicates things in general. Like, my. My cousin and her husband, they're way older than me. They're in their 50s and 60s.
She doesn't have any kids, but he had kids from previous relationships. And she told me she's leaving everything to me and my sister. And I was like, what about his many kids? Like, what happens there? It's like, well, I guess if she went first, I'm not getting anything. But, like, how do you figure that stuff out?
[01:04:30] Speaker C: It's.
[01:04:30] Speaker B: It's complicated, but I think that's fair. I think, like, your stuff goes to your kids and your stuff doesn't mean
[01:04:38] Speaker C: you can't have joint accounts.
[01:04:40] Speaker A: No. I told her, like, it might be wise if we want to take a trip to do a joint account to save for that trip.
But I don't necessarily know outside. Okay. Or if we moved in together, our utilities coming out of a joint account, but we would deposit money into that. That account.
[01:04:56] Speaker C: I wouldn't go towards all that.
[01:04:58] Speaker A: I don't want my main deposit of my. My check, nor her check being in the same account.
[01:05:03] Speaker C: I'll just hook it up under one, and you send me money out of an account. That sounds like a lot more work than just being like, send me half.
[01:05:13] Speaker A: Oh, just send her money for my half. Yeah, yeah. Either way, it don't matter.
[01:05:17] Speaker B: Isn't it kind of weird to send your spouse like, you're half the electricity bill.
[01:05:23] Speaker A: Yeah. But unless you got, again, kids that you're like, sure, you know, like, I don't know.
[01:05:28] Speaker C: I think. Yeah, it's situational, but, like, new relationships.
[01:05:31] Speaker A: I'm like, well, you're at an age where you don't got no kids.
[01:05:34] Speaker B: Could there.
[01:05:35] Speaker C: Could no.
[01:05:36] Speaker B: Could there be a joint account where you each put like a thousand bucks a month in?
[01:05:40] Speaker A: For sure.
[01:05:40] Speaker B: And then that's just the utilities and the rent and everything.
[01:05:42] Speaker C: And.
[01:05:43] Speaker A: Yeah, but that's what she's saying. That's so much more work than me just sending her the money that the accounts are probably already in.
[01:05:49] Speaker C: Is it.
[01:05:50] Speaker B: You send one deposit once a month versus yeah.
[01:05:53] Speaker A: But now you have two people sending one deposits where in my sit. Her situation.
[01:05:57] Speaker B: Half of everything.
[01:05:59] Speaker C: Yeah.
I think the man should be Handling all, all that utilities and rent. If it's being shared, then that gets sent. The half or whatever gets sent to the man. He's handling it, assuming he's responsible with it.
And then everything else the man is paying for. Unless the girl wants.
[01:06:21] Speaker A: That's crazy because I've always viewed women as the bill payers. Like I give you the money, you go disperse it amongst those collecting of the funds.
I, I don't.
I never.
[01:06:34] Speaker C: It's just how it's always rent. Whoever handles what is getting. They're dealing with it. Yeah. The half is getting sent from the other half.
Other things.
[01:06:44] Speaker A: It makes sense. Like if she moved in with me, it's all in my name. Just give me half.
If I'm moving with her, it's all under her name here. Just give her half.
[01:06:51] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:06:53] Speaker A: Makes sense.
[01:06:54] Speaker C: Depending on. But yeah, I mean, that's just your situation. But sure. Yeah.
So you agree?
[01:07:02] Speaker B: Are you sure that lot is free after 6?
[01:07:05] Speaker A: Yeah, positive.
[01:07:06] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:07:06] Speaker C: Are you scared?
[01:07:07] Speaker B: Yeah, incredibly. Yeah.
That truck is not worth the money it would take to get it out of impound.
[01:07:16] Speaker C: Yeah, very true.
[01:07:19] Speaker A: I would imagine it's just a ticket.
[01:07:23] Speaker B: Yeah, probably.
[01:07:24] Speaker C: Yeah. Citation.
[01:07:25] Speaker B: And how much more could the ticket possibly be than the money they charge you?
[01:07:32] Speaker A: I don't know, man. They're making.
Probably take it as an insult. They're making a lot of money off of this parking lot.
[01:07:38] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:07:39] Speaker A: And for you to take up one of their money makers, they'll probably charge you for a whole day's worth. Plus any fees related to processing this ticket.
The 15 minutes.
[01:07:51] Speaker B: I'll just take that as a fee to park there all day.
[01:07:54] Speaker A: That's how I viewed it last night. That's. I parked there, I paid for two hours and I was like, like, I'm done.
[01:07:59] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:08:00] Speaker A: But my ass was up early this morning. Like, gotta go to the parking lot, guys.
[01:08:05] Speaker C: You don't have the app.
[01:08:07] Speaker A: I'm. No, I'm good on downloading an app I'm gonna use once. I just paid at the thing.
It's right next to it.
[01:08:15] Speaker C: Sensitive subject. Is being just friends with an ex healthy or a recipe for disaster?
[01:08:22] Speaker A: I think it can be healthy.
[01:08:28] Speaker B: I think it is.
Whether healthy or unhealthy, it's still a recipe for disaster. I mean, you've got all the elements you need for a disaster there. Whether it's healthier.
[01:08:38] Speaker A: You're. You're right. Because you can't. You can't control the other side.
[01:08:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:08:42] Speaker A: You can only control yourself.
So. Yeah, there's. There's the Potential. There's a potential risk there.
My legs are burning, bro.
[01:08:54] Speaker B: You want to go put pants on?
[01:08:55] Speaker A: No.
[01:08:57] Speaker C: Use a pillow.
[01:08:58] Speaker A: Keep crossing them.
[01:09:01] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, I've just never stayed friends with an ex, so I rarely do
[01:09:09] Speaker A: I have with one simply because number four's best friend is her daughter and. But we only talk kid related, you know, hey, so and so wants to reach so and so. Okay. That's about it.
[01:09:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
Number one,
[01:09:25] Speaker C: I see no point in it.
[01:09:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:09:30] Speaker C: I think it's weird.
Depending on how long the relationship was.
[01:09:35] Speaker B: Yeah. You know what I've found is that
[01:09:38] Speaker A: you probably don't see an issue with it. Like, I'm gonna guess your stance before you state it.
Okay.
You're probably like, I don't care. I don't care if they lived in her old apartment.
[01:09:56] Speaker B: I definitely cared at one point.
I got over it though.
Yeah. Now older people, I found like my parents generation don't have as much of a problem with it.
[01:10:09] Speaker A: Your parents kind of live like they're single now.
[01:10:11] Speaker B: Yeah, well, sure.
But like everyone on my mom's side of the family except for like one or two people have been divorced. Most of them are on their second marriages and they had kids with the first ones. So the first ones were just always around.
My uncle dropped on me a few years ago that he still like goes and has dinner with his ex wife like once or twice a year.
[01:10:35] Speaker A: No kids with her.
[01:10:36] Speaker B: No kids.
[01:10:37] Speaker A: That's weird.
[01:10:38] Speaker B: Didn't have kids till the second one. And he like will when he's on a business trip, which is just a classic cover up dude.
He's retired by the way. When he's on a business trip.
No.
[01:10:50] Speaker A: Wow.
[01:10:51] Speaker B: But he'll. He'll go have dinner with her and I just, I think that's weird. Like my aunt, his. So his second wife used to do yoga with Bigfoot and she like continued to see her after we broke up because they were in the same yoga class. And she asked me once like, oh, have you talked to bigfoot at all lately? I'm like, no.
[01:11:15] Speaker A: Let me ask both of you about that because I feel it's very relevant to you.
And you kind of stated something that maybe you have an issue with it. Do you have an issue in your family stays friends with your exes after a certain point?
[01:11:29] Speaker C: Yes. That has been an ongoing discussion that I've had. Yes.
[01:11:33] Speaker A: Who's still friends with your exes?
[01:11:37] Speaker C: Well, not like friends friends, but like everybody's still being friends with social media friends. Yeah.
[01:11:44] Speaker A: Bothers me with homie. The Clown.
[01:11:46] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:11:46] Speaker A: Who I knew would. Damn.
[01:11:50] Speaker C: Yeah.
Sorry. Another name. My aunt. She drops a freaking congratulations on.
[01:12:00] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[01:12:01] Speaker C: On just graduating his freaking apprenticeship program for electric. I was like, bruh. Like, I.
[01:12:09] Speaker B: But so handsome.
[01:12:11] Speaker C: All of his.
[01:12:12] Speaker A: Like, he's a cool kid.
[01:12:14] Speaker C: Yes. All of his family is still, like, friends with me on Facebook. I still get some messages.
[01:12:20] Speaker A: You serious? And I can't be friends with him.
[01:12:23] Speaker B: This guy must have ruled.
[01:12:26] Speaker C: He did.
[01:12:27] Speaker A: He was the coolest kid, like my
[01:12:29] Speaker C: siblings still to this day.
[01:12:30] Speaker A: What's. What's that Nacho Libre line? He would always say, why are you doing me, fool?
[01:12:36] Speaker C: That was from. I don't. I mean, maybe it was from.
[01:12:39] Speaker A: It was because I said it. What was it? What'd he say? Oh, my gosh.
We were just talking about this saying the other night. I was like, oh, somebody always quoted that movie. And I was like, oh, I know who it is.
[01:12:49] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:12:49] Speaker A: Coolest kid in the world.
[01:12:51] Speaker B: What happened?
[01:12:52] Speaker A: But I chose. I chose the line in the sand. Didn't know we could still be friends.
[01:12:57] Speaker C: You were even on Facebook for, like, consistently forever.
[01:13:01] Speaker A: Insta. We were connected on insta forever. And I'm like, oh, she's not with him no more. Can't be friends. So I unfriend him. I didn't know we were all staying friends.
[01:13:10] Speaker C: I think after a certain amount of time is when it, like, okay, guys, like, that's like us after we split up. That's fine. You know what I mean? Whatever. But then he got a new girl. He has another. He has one kid and another child on the way. He's engaged. That's when it's like, guys, it's not me anymore. Like, like, split that up.
What happened was we. So we met at work. We both used to work at a restaurant in los.
In Laguna Beach.
And then very quickly after we started dating, we moved in together.
And then we had been moved in together up until we broke up, obviously. And that was almost four years when we broke up. There was nothing. That's the other thing. Nothing bad happened.
It was this month where we were literally, like, two separate people living under the same, like, roof. And it just.
We were not, like.
I don't know, we weren't connecting anymore. We kind of stopped, like, speaking, literally speaking to each other, like, under the same roof. And I just went into work one day, and I was like, truthfully, like, this. You. It doesn't feel like you're meeting what I think I need to be, like, fulfilled in. And, like, every time I, like, address this to you, it's not getting like.
Like there's no sympathy. You're not understanding. You're kind of just defending, like, how, like, I don't know, he's an Aries. Like, just like Lalila. You know what I mean?
[01:14:44] Speaker A: Like, he was very lally.
[01:14:45] Speaker C: Laugh. Yeah.
So that there was. That's what sucked too.
[01:14:49] Speaker B: So it wasn't like a hardcore.
[01:14:51] Speaker C: It was like, probably that was like. Like true heartbreak because it was like there was nothing that actually set us, like, apart. It was like, we are two good people where this is just simply not working. And it could have been because we were young. Like, I think I was barely 21 when we had broken up.
[01:15:09] Speaker A: Wasn't it why you made me look like a fool.
[01:15:12] Speaker C: No.
[01:15:13] Speaker A: Damn it. Definitely do. I gotta figure out. This is killing me.
[01:15:18] Speaker C: Yeah. So, yeah, my sub and my siblings got a really good part of him because they were so young when he was involved. So now to this day, it's like,
[01:15:28] Speaker A: doesn't need to do with age. I got a really good part of him.
[01:15:31] Speaker C: No, but they look up. Like, now it's gonna be a lot harder to cradle my siblings because this
[01:15:37] Speaker A: kid worked with me every day, bro. Gave him his first drills.
[01:15:41] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:15:41] Speaker B: Wow.
[01:15:42] Speaker A: We're going on, like, road trips, doing jobs.
[01:15:45] Speaker B: I think I remember this now.
[01:15:46] Speaker C: Doing stupid. That was another thing. He just didn't respect me. Like my girl. He. I'd hated that he smoked cigarettes.
Every single time we went to, like a family function. My grandparents or my grandpa, his dad would smoke cigarettes and like, it was just like a slap in the face. Like, you know that I don't like that. And you have my dad and my grandpa, like, helping you hide the fact that you're doing that.
[01:16:05] Speaker A: Here's the thing there.
That's from someone that doesn't know what a good cigarette's. Like, hear me out.
[01:16:11] Speaker C: Four cigarettes.
[01:16:12] Speaker B: That's not enough.
[01:16:13] Speaker C: No, it's.
[01:16:14] Speaker A: There are times where, like, I don't smoke, but I see a couple guys smoking at a. At a party or a family function. I'm like, if there's any time I get approval from. From the Mrs.
[01:16:25] Speaker B: It's.
[01:16:25] Speaker A: It's during. It's during bonding time with her family. Yeah, that's. That's the time I get the. The.
[01:16:30] Speaker C: Yeah, but that's different.
[01:16:31] Speaker B: Catching a heater with an uncle or something.
[01:16:36] Speaker A: But you're really. You're talking shop.
You know, he's. He's blue collar. Like, we were. We're talking shop. We're having a cigarette. Yeah.
[01:16:44] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:16:44] Speaker A: So I smoke every day. That's one poke smoking at this party. He don't. That's why you want to smoke at this party.
[01:16:50] Speaker C: Yeah, but it's just a movement about it.
[01:16:52] Speaker A: Like, it was probably wrong.
[01:16:53] Speaker C: It was just being like, hey, disrespectful. And then you have two men in my life that are enabling the disrespect, essentially.
[01:17:01] Speaker B: Sounds like they were just having a great time. Yeah.
[01:17:05] Speaker A: You know, we just three men now.
We just.
We really just wanted to enjoy the moment.
No, but even at work, I don't smoke in front of clients. I don't smoke anymore anyways. But when I started working at. At that company, I smoked cigarettes.
It got to a point where I knew the smell was unpleasing to certain people. I deal a lot with clients, so I switched up to the vape. However, every now and then, OT will come in, he'll snap his photos, and he wants to go have a cigarette, and I go, because I'm bonding with T. He's got great stories. He's a little odd, but he's got great stories. And it justifies me smelling like.
Because I'm having a moment with tea. Yeah, I love cigarettes.
They just make you smell like. And I invest too much in colognes to smell like.
I'm so vain like that. I. I'm like, ah, smell like a cigarette. I smell like a baby's ass. I'm going for baby's ass.
[01:18:10] Speaker B: Bit of a dandy.
[01:18:13] Speaker A: I mask it under manly man. Man manhood. But, yeah, I guess I'm very.
[01:18:20] Speaker B: My. My whole thing is I don't really care if people keep in touch with an ex of mine. I don't want to know about it.
[01:18:32] Speaker C: That's.
[01:18:32] Speaker B: That's kind of the line I drew because, like, we had. She was very close with my family. We. We were in the same Bigfoot. Yeah. We were in the same church and had, like, all the same friends. So I was like, I can't expect you to just drop everyone in your life. And I told my sister. I was like, hey, I don't have any problem with you hanging out with her. Don't let me know. And I don't think they ever did. But Jackie used to walk her dog with her. They used to walk their dogs together around the RSM lake.
And I was like, okay, that's fine. Do not tell my fiance that you walk your dog.
[01:19:10] Speaker A: See, I'm kind of torn because my mom is still friends with, like, all my exes.
[01:19:16] Speaker C: Like, well, that's how we got back to California.
[01:19:19] Speaker A: Well, I know, but Even like the, the, the. The. The stop offs, you know, Even like the ones that were like, yeah, maybe eight months, six months, you know, and you're like, why, why do you follow their. Like she doesn't tell me about them, so I don't really give a. Actually, I really don't.
But the, that was the other half of it is the like, I know when we were first married. Married and her mom started coming back around, it was like a hard no to do anything with her mom.
It was like she could come. We don't want to be a part of her mom.
So I don't know. It was weird because we had, there were times where like we had good relationship with her mom. And then it got weird and then it got like, no, we don't want them at family functions.
I think looking back at it now, it was immature for sure.
[01:20:16] Speaker C: Jealousy.
[01:20:17] Speaker A: But like, I think that comes a lot with like someone feeling confident, comfortable in themselves.
I think women and men alike. I think I focus more on men, but I think women alike have insecurities that they operate out of, you know?
Yeah.
[01:20:39] Speaker C: Women. What alike?
[01:20:42] Speaker A: Yeah, like men. Because like I, I know men operate out of insecurities at times.
[01:20:46] Speaker C: And I'm just saying like similar women.
[01:20:48] Speaker A: I was like, no, I'm saying that I don't.
I haven't put enough thought into like, oh, if this is a man thing, it's probably a woman thing too.
[01:20:59] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:21:00] Speaker A: You know?
[01:21:01] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:21:01] Speaker A: My focus more has been like, oh, if a man can just be confident about who they are, they won't operate out of insecurities.
But I do see women do the same. Same thing, you know, like, even when it's not drastic and maybe cutting off relationships or having sand lines in the sand, but they operate out of it in their relationship in little ways too that like you're like, oh, that comes from past. Okay. Or over explaining yourself or you know, you start seeing things and you're like, okay, yeah, yeah.
[01:21:34] Speaker C: Agreed.
[01:21:36] Speaker B: Next one.
[01:21:39] Speaker A: What time is it?
[01:21:40] Speaker C: It's almost 5:40.
[01:21:41] Speaker A: Wow, you're counting the minutes on. You're like, dude, that's cool. They probably got Peacock with commercial right now.
[01:21:47] Speaker C: They're already watching movie night.
[01:21:50] Speaker A: Want to go in? They're gonna be 30 minutes in. Be like, don't ruin for me.
[01:21:54] Speaker C: La la la la la la. Stay m.
[01:22:05] Speaker A: You want me to text them and have them hold off on Love Island?
[01:22:09] Speaker C: Why?
[01:22:10] Speaker A: So you can all watch it for the first time together?
You don't walk in 30 minutes deep.
[01:22:14] Speaker C: I'm going to watch it when I get home.
[01:22:16] Speaker A: Whatever, dude.
[01:22:19] Speaker C: Are you going to watch it?
[01:22:21] Speaker A: No.
[01:22:21] Speaker C: Exactly. Is love at first sight real or infatuation with good lighting?
[01:22:30] Speaker B: I think it's real.
[01:22:32] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:22:32] Speaker C: Really? Yeah.
[01:22:33] Speaker A: Yeah, that's where I'm going.
[01:22:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
Men are just more romantic than women. That's why you feel.
[01:22:39] Speaker A: I'm not gonna lie.
[01:22:41] Speaker C: We're just. We work with logic.
[01:22:44] Speaker A: It was bad timing for sure. But like I can remember the moment I met Boston for sure.
Like, like the whole. Everything just dis. It was crazy cuz. It was just like.
[01:22:56] Speaker C: Okay, so infatuation.
[01:22:58] Speaker A: No, no, because like we.
We were just two immature people at that time. Like she was in substance.
I was operating out of somebody that just wasn't confident in themselves.
[01:23:11] Speaker C: And what, what is love to you guys?
[01:23:17] Speaker B: Love to infatuation.
[01:23:23] Speaker A: This is how I kind of view love. And I don't view it like this. Like love is. I look at it like, if this world turns into the book of Eli, is she riding with me or is she just going to the next dude that has like enough to support himself? You know what I mean? Like, is she riding with me and we're both working to make ends meet or is she like, this dude's got money and allows me to stay home. This is who I'm to going with?
[01:23:50] Speaker C: Okay, now define love at first sight.
[01:23:54] Speaker A: Love at first sight is. Well, I mean, like you can see it in. You can see it in hindsight, I guess.
[01:24:02] Speaker C: Like, are you just going off energy? Like, what?
[01:24:04] Speaker A: No, you can see, you can see it in hindsight because I think with Boston, you looking at like, okay, like, yeah, that like we ended. We ended up up really loving each other. But I don't think at first sight we were like, yeah, I'd die for her. Like if she. If her first words have been like, hey, I just want to let you know before we like go any further, like, I'm HIV V positive.
I'm pretty sure I would have been like, yeah, this ain't love at first sight.
[01:24:31] Speaker C: That was.
[01:24:32] Speaker B: That was silly.
[01:24:33] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[01:24:34] Speaker B: What was I feeling? Right? I think we should normalize the fact that you see someone before you ever speak with them.
[01:24:44] Speaker A: Or like I've always said I never want to wake up and be like, my arms like, got a head on in. I look over and I'm like, she's fucking funny though.
[01:24:54] Speaker B: Sure, sure, sure. But what I'm saying is like, you are. You are first attracted to someone physically for sure. So like. Yeah, I think it's only in retrospect. I might, I might be Making an argument. It's not real now, but it's only in retrospect that you look back and you like,
[01:25:12] Speaker A: you look back and you're like, okay, but hear me out.
Yes. You say that. You say that like you're initially drawn by their looks.
[01:25:22] Speaker C: Sure.
[01:25:22] Speaker A: Those looks have to also keep me, dude. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like, because there are times.
[01:25:28] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:25:28] Speaker A: Maybe it's a rough year.
[01:25:30] Speaker C: So infatuation with good lighting.
[01:25:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:25:36] Speaker B: I think it's two sides of the same coin. I. I think, like, if it worked out forever, you'd say love at first sight. If it doesn't work out, you'd say infatuation.
So it's kind of something you can only look back on.
[01:25:47] Speaker A: Yeah, I would agree. I would agree. Love is something that grows from trust.
But it's not like initially stabbed. Established again. You meet someone and they're like, hey, like two weeks in. Let's just say two weeks in, you're every day. You're seeing each other every day. Like, this is. You're talking to them even when you're busy. You don't care. You just want to. And then they're like, if we're gonna do this, you need to know all my. All my skeletons. Like, I buried a couple bodies. You know what I mean?
[01:26:16] Speaker B: Like, I thought you were gonna say I've got an ex living in my apartment.
[01:26:21] Speaker A: What?
[01:26:22] Speaker C: They got a few body, like, dead bodies. That changes.
[01:26:26] Speaker B: Figurative.
[01:26:27] Speaker A: To eat. No, serious.
I killed my ex husband and his buddy Frank.
[01:26:32] Speaker B: He wasn't doing anything wrong. I just got the bloodlust. I had to kill again.
Frank saw the whole thing. Yeah.
[01:26:39] Speaker A: Whatever it is.
But if you tell me anything that, like, is off with what jibes with where I'm currently at. HIV positive, killed a couple bodies.
I'm more than likely going to
[01:26:56] Speaker B: back,
[01:26:56] Speaker A: like, reassess the whole situation.
I've watched a couple true, true crime docs. It never ends well, bro.
[01:27:04] Speaker C: We've heard your watchings.
[01:27:06] Speaker B: Watchings.
[01:27:07] Speaker A: It's not just cops.
[01:27:09] Speaker B: Yeah, I would. I would say it's. It's really perspective at that point.
[01:27:14] Speaker A: It's all.
[01:27:15] Speaker B: Yeah, because like, I. My.
When I met my wife, I would definitely call that love at first sight.
And we've had rough patches and I don't feel any differently really.
You know, So, I mean, if we get through those rough patches, I'm gonna say it was love at first sight. And if it didn't work out for some reason, I'd say it was just infatuation, though.
[01:27:40] Speaker A: You have so many years invested right now that you could say, yeah, it was love at first sight. However, we were immature.
We were young.
But the infantry.
Well, I'm saying the infatuation part is like, you guys are dating for a month or so, and then something breaks you guys up, and you're like, I thought it was love at first sight.
[01:28:02] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:28:02] Speaker A: Where now you could. You have enough evidence underneath you where you say, yes, love at first sight. But for some reason, we hit a season of X, Y, and Z, and we didn't work out. You know, I only quoted the immature because that's what I say about me in Boston. Like, we were young, we were mature.
Our choices weren't the best, where that's where you'd be falling in the sense of, like, excuses of where I think infatuation comes. Like, this is it. You're in the first. Within the. Under the first year. You're like, this is it. And then something happens, and you're like, I thought I loved her, but. But, you know, apparently something is conditional that dictated me not loving her anymore. Now it's just infatuation.
[01:28:45] Speaker B: Yeah. So it's kind of what I'm saying. It's sort of like perspective on how it worked out.
[01:28:50] Speaker A: It works out. Love at first sight.
[01:28:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:28:52] Speaker A: If it doesn't, maybe. But I don't think anybody ever sits back and says, maybe it was infatuation.
[01:28:58] Speaker B: Nah.
[01:28:59] Speaker A: I always like, yeah, some people will
[01:29:01] Speaker B: say it was love at first sight even though it didn't work out or
[01:29:03] Speaker A: like, she was weird.
You start blaming them for why they're not. Why it was. Without quoting infatuation, why it was not love at first sight. Yeah.
[01:29:17] Speaker B: Solved it. Next one. Yeah, take us there.
[01:29:22] Speaker C: I think the rest are kind of boring.
[01:29:25] Speaker B: We'll be the judges of that. Okay, you're.
[01:29:28] Speaker A: But I.
[01:29:28] Speaker B: You're a guest star.
[01:29:29] Speaker C: Okay, my bad.
[01:29:33] Speaker A: You're a guest host. No, that's how I felt, though, about some of the other ones, where I was like, hey, these last, like, 10 through 13.
Not so great.
[01:29:42] Speaker C: Okay. Is taking photos of your food a valid part of the dining?
[01:29:46] Speaker B: Nope. Stop it.
[01:29:47] Speaker A: No.
[01:29:49] Speaker C: Is living in the city.
[01:29:50] Speaker A: No. Hold on, though.
Hold on, hold on.
[01:29:54] Speaker B: No. Let's really make a meal out of this. No pun intended.
[01:29:56] Speaker A: No. Because there is a little bit of a meal about it.
[01:29:59] Speaker C: Phone eats first.
[01:30:00] Speaker A: Food. Food. You make sure.
[01:30:04] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:30:04] Speaker A: You're proud of your creation.
[01:30:06] Speaker C: It's because he's speaking from experience.
[01:30:08] Speaker A: Yeah. I will take.
[01:30:09] Speaker B: I made up the lawn a few months ago, and I took pictures of that.
[01:30:12] Speaker A: Right.
[01:30:12] Speaker B: I Was proud of that.
[01:30:13] Speaker A: Yeah. Because it's something you accomplish going and paying somebody who went to school to do this stuff, and they bring it out. You're like, oh, I'm gonna take pictures.
It's kind of just saying. You just. Some people.
[01:30:24] Speaker C: Yeah. Phone eats first.
[01:30:27] Speaker A: You say phone eats first?
[01:30:28] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:30:29] Speaker A: It's an actual saying, huh?
[01:30:30] Speaker C: Yeah. Phone eats first.
[01:30:31] Speaker B: Yeah, I've heard that.
Back. Back when I didn't have a good phone, therefore not a good camera, I stopped taking pictures because it was like, by the time I get this camera open, it could be 90 seconds before I'm actually taking a picture. It was that bad. So I just really got used to not taking pictures and just living in the moment and not worried about. I went to several concerts that I didn't take a single photo of or video or anything. And I actually told myself that I, like, liked this, and. And I had, like, learned to be more present. Now that I have a phone with a camera, I am taking pictures of everything. I love it, but not.
[01:31:08] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, I won't be taking pictures.
[01:31:10] Speaker A: Truthfully, I'm not against it. I just enjoy.
[01:31:14] Speaker B: It's got to be a quick one.
[01:31:16] Speaker A: That's the thing.
[01:31:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:31:18] Speaker A: I hate when it's. Hey, do you have power on that?
[01:31:22] Speaker B: On my laptop, yeah.
[01:31:23] Speaker A: Yeah, check it out.
I heard power went out. Yep, power went out.
[01:31:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:31:30] Speaker C: What does that mean?
[01:31:30] Speaker B: I should be good for 10, 15 minutes.
[01:31:34] Speaker C: It's a laptop. There's no way that just went out.
[01:31:37] Speaker B: Yeah, the battery is pretty jacked up on this, so we probably don't have long, but I'll keep an eye on it.
[01:31:45] Speaker C: Okay, well, be present.
Perfect.
[01:31:58] Speaker B: Could you tag me and block my wife, please?
[01:32:04] Speaker C: Yeah, I've actually contemplated following her, but
[01:32:10] Speaker B: I'm like, do it.
[01:32:11] Speaker C: Doesn't know me. It's so weird.
[01:32:12] Speaker B: Do it.
[01:32:12] Speaker A: Let her be your Jimmy.
[01:32:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:32:15] Speaker A: Late at night. Just start. Just start. Harding her.
[01:32:18] Speaker B: Whatever you do to him, I'm doing to her.
[01:32:21] Speaker A: Can we commit to that?
[01:32:23] Speaker B: Can we? Can we really?
[01:32:25] Speaker C: Well, she knows who I am. It's gonna be even more weird.
[01:32:27] Speaker B: He knows.
[01:32:28] Speaker A: He knows who he is now.
[01:32:29] Speaker B: I'm Uncle Nasty. Yeah, but, like, back in the saddle being nasty once again.
The last time I saw number two and number three and they called me Uncle Nasty wasn't okay anymore. They were, like, 16 and 14.
[01:32:47] Speaker C: I think, like, the passerbyers can hear you.
[01:32:50] Speaker B: Number two got picked up for a sleepover by her friend's parents, and when she's leaving the house, she says, bi. Uncle Nasty. And they just see A guy with a mustache standing.
[01:32:59] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[01:33:02] Speaker C: That's funny.
Yeah, I miss her.
I miss the old Kanye.
Yeah, I don't really know. These last few questions are, we got
[01:33:19] Speaker B: a lot out of the food.
[01:33:20] Speaker C: Is re. Watching a favorite show better than discovering a new one?
[01:33:23] Speaker B: Yes, yes, yes. Because your brain is not working as hard. It's comfortable.
Your brain thrives off of, like. For comfortability. For comfort. Your. Your brain thrives off a routine and no surprises.
[01:33:40] Speaker A: Well, here's the other thing. You also, I think sometimes when you watch a new show, you don't get all of the.
Sometimes all of the, like, jokes and innovators on the back side 100. So when you see it enough and you're watching, like, dude, I never noticed the dude in the background. Soon, like, X, Y, and Z, or dude, like, do you get that. That joke kind of like how you are with your little.
What's that show you like?
[01:34:05] Speaker B: Arrested Development?
[01:34:06] Speaker A: Arrested Development, where you're like, hey, you gotta watch, like, season three, like, five times, and you get the whole joke of the season. No, no, no, no.
[01:34:12] Speaker C: I did not get into that.
[01:34:13] Speaker B: I've seen Lost.
[01:34:14] Speaker A: What?
[01:34:15] Speaker B: I said I've seen lost about 25 times.
[01:34:17] Speaker C: And so good.
[01:34:18] Speaker B: I still see things that I didn't notice.
[01:34:21] Speaker A: Are talking Vampire Diaries over here.
[01:34:23] Speaker C: Vampire Diaries is so good.
[01:34:25] Speaker A: Wait, you're watching it referring to. I was referring to John.
[01:34:30] Speaker C: I wanted to make sure.
[01:34:31] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, my wife loves that.
[01:34:32] Speaker C: So good.
[01:34:33] Speaker B: I've never. I watched, like, season one, but it wasn't really my thing. My wife.
[01:34:36] Speaker A: We were both like, no, we're not into Arrested Development. And I was like, yeah, but we got to keep in mind we're talking old Vampire Diaries over here.
[01:34:42] Speaker C: Yeah, that is good. You would like it. It's not what it sounds like, so just don't take it from the.
[01:34:49] Speaker B: I. I will say, after having seen season one, it was a lot better than I expected it to be. But it was still not my thing.
[01:34:56] Speaker C: I just skipped past season one.
[01:34:57] Speaker B: Season one was good.
[01:34:59] Speaker C: I thought, well, it gets better. Okay. And it gets more intense.
I don't know. It's great.
[01:35:04] Speaker B: The problem with vampire shows is that you can only do it for so long before there's, like, no rules anymore. It's like everyone's been killed and brought back to life and everyone's been turned and people have been discovered, and.
[01:35:16] Speaker C: And. And that's what this show does. But it does it in a way where you're like, you would have. You can kind of see it coming, but then there's other where you're like, damn. Really? Like, I didn't see that coming. Or, like, I don't know. They play a really good. They play it out very well. And not a so, like, cheesy way where you're like, okay, like, this is. Yeah, it's good. And that's where the Originals came from. And, like, the legacies. I don't know if you've ever seen that, but those ones were spin offs of Vampire Diary.
Highly recommend. Number one show.
Don't sound so excited, guys.
[01:35:50] Speaker B: Do you. Do you rewatch shows?
[01:35:52] Speaker A: Do I. Yeah.
TV shows? Yeah, it depends.
[01:35:58] Speaker B: What shows am I talking about? Yeah,
[01:36:02] Speaker C: no. Fashion shows?
[01:36:04] Speaker A: Theater shows.
Yes, I have. Like, I rewatched Mayor of Kingstown. Like, season one, I watched three times.
And so on Season one, three times. Season two, two times. Season three, one time.
[01:36:25] Speaker B: Sure.
[01:36:26] Speaker A: So what are you doing over there?
I'm trying to get the power situation figured out.
[01:36:32] Speaker C: Wait, what's wrong with the power?
[01:36:34] Speaker B: It's out. It's out.
So. No, no. Love Island.
[01:36:40] Speaker A: I'm texting the owner of the Airbnb.
[01:36:42] Speaker C: Oh. I was like, I'm seeing.
[01:36:44] Speaker B: I'm seeing if there's a restaurant nearby where we can watch Love Island Helmsman.
[01:36:49] Speaker A: That's the other part I'm trying to say, hey, let's go eat in 15, because he's not responding and the breaker is locked.
[01:36:56] Speaker C: Nice.
[01:36:57] Speaker A: Yeah. So a lot of things I would change here. The toilet pressure is not that great.
[01:37:03] Speaker C: I noticed that. It's a beach thing.
[01:37:05] Speaker A: Yeah, I've. I've. Last night, I must have eaten Handel's homemade ice cream, and it was a gut in the punch about three times last night.
[01:37:14] Speaker C: So it's Handles.
[01:37:16] Speaker A: It's a homemade ice cream shop down here.
[01:37:18] Speaker C: Okay. I've only heard it one.
[01:37:21] Speaker A: It was down here on the corner. I ate some, and within, I don't know, a couple hours, it felt like I was getting kicked in the gut.
And after I got the cork out, it was.
It was all downhill, like, three times. Like, I'd lay in bed and I'd have to get back up and. And go handle some business.
[01:37:37] Speaker B: Handle.
[01:37:40] Speaker A: So I took the plunger from the guest bathroom and put it in the master bathroom.
[01:37:44] Speaker B: What did you get?
[01:37:47] Speaker A: If they offer fudge and they offer banana, I get them together because I like fudge ball bombs.
[01:37:53] Speaker B: I've only had the blue monster from Handles. Yeah. Delicious.
[01:38:00] Speaker A: It was good. I asked them if they could mix it, and we have two definitions of mixing. She put banana, then chocolate. I wanted her to take the banana and chocolate and alternate swirl around. Do something where I get both in one bite. She didn't do that.
[01:38:15] Speaker C: So you mentioned going to the bathroom and I came across a tik tok yesterday that was like your funny way of going, of saying going poop that you've never heard anyone else use.
I'm just gonna read a few.
Going to take a thick piss.
There's a disturbance in my southern chakras.
[01:38:40] Speaker B: I don't like that
[01:38:44] Speaker C: I have a fart with luggage.
Time for me to go and exfoliate my biggest pore.
Nature is calling and they aren't leaving a voicemail.
I need to go cut a cigar.
[01:39:13] Speaker B: I love the poop man is here and I owe him money.
[01:39:18] Speaker C: There was a different thread that I had seen that had better ones.
[01:39:20] Speaker B: But look for it while I.
[01:39:23] Speaker A: While I say so I'm kind of curious. What, what are your algorithms?
[01:39:27] Speaker C: Ooh, Love Island.
A lot of Halo. A lot of video games.
[01:39:34] Speaker B: Poop you from his.
[01:39:35] Speaker A: Came across another one that had better ones.
[01:39:37] Speaker C: I did. Well, I had to like, go search and I. I'm on Tick tock a good amount of the day. So this.
[01:39:43] Speaker A: All right, so what were you gonna say?
[01:39:44] Speaker B: Rory Scoville, the stand up had a bit about having to crap while you're like, on a double date and you're like, in the back seat.
And it's like the moment when you realize you're gonna have to. At a gas station.
Your stomach is just talking to you. And he's like, hey, man, a lot of my emails aren't coming back from down there. You better figure this out.
I've never forgotten that.
[01:40:10] Speaker A: There have been times where. Here's the thing. If you can make it through the gut punches, yeah, you're good, but your next is going to be really, really thick and, and hurt. It's gonna hurt for sure.
Because all of a sudden it's like if you. Once you make it through that, like, half hour of excruciating, like, just like, like breathing through it. Focus.
You don't have to. For like another.
For a while.
[01:40:39] Speaker B: The most memorable time where I had that memorable was not that it, it became an emergency.
I was on the 405. I was heading up north to do a consult for my wisdom teeth because I had to have my wisdom teeth out.
And I had a Red Bull and a burrito on my way up there. And in bumper to bumper traffic, I. I get the gut punches and I'm making it through, like, contractions, you know, I'm like, okay. And then I have an okay, you know, few minutes. And I'm just like, you know, I'm just going to power through this thing because I know on the other side of this cramp, I'm okay. So I just. I power through the meeting, and then I have to go to the office to, like, actually schedule the surgery and. And do all the. The stuff.
And this lady was gorgeous, and I'm sitting across the desk from her, and I'm literally on the edge of my seat. Like, I'm in so much pain that I'm on the edge of my seat, and I'm like, definitely, like, shaking my legs around. I'm just. I'm being, like, a total autist. And I had to say, like, hey, can I. Can I just go use the bathroom real quick?
She was like, yeah, go, you know, go get the key from the. The front desk. So I'm like, if I do this really quick, she might think it was a piss. Yeah, I gotta be.
[01:41:56] Speaker A: That's always the hope.
[01:41:57] Speaker B: I gotta be quick. And I get in there, and I mean, unspeakable things happen. And it was one of those where halfway through, you're like, nope, this wasn't a piss. There's no way. There's no way I'm getting out of here.
And so, yeah, I just came back and just try. Just. God, please don't reference what just happened. And I just sat through the rest of the thing and scheduled it and left and. It's terrible.
[01:42:21] Speaker A: Yeah, I noticed you guys didn't have any napkins in there. It took me a while to find something dry my hands on.
[01:42:26] Speaker B: Oh, why am I not wearing a shirt?
[01:42:31] Speaker A: No, I always sweat during my piss.
[01:42:35] Speaker B: Sweat through it. And then some other stuff happened.
[01:42:39] Speaker C: Yeah, I can't find it.
[01:42:41] Speaker B: That's fine. The ones.
[01:42:42] Speaker C: They were good, though.
[01:42:43] Speaker A: All right, well, how many more minutes you got left on this? Probably because he's not responding.
[01:42:47] Speaker B: We're at an hour 45.
[01:42:49] Speaker A: No. How many more minutes we got left on the battery?
[01:42:51] Speaker B: Oh, that's the thing. It's kind of messed up. So It'll be like 80, and then it'll just sort of die.
[01:42:57] Speaker C: So what's it.
[01:42:57] Speaker A: We'll just monitor that 76, but probably till 50.
[01:43:01] Speaker B: We're fine.
[01:43:02] Speaker A: All right, we'll monitor. And at 50, we'll. We'll. We'll say our goodbyes.
[01:43:05] Speaker B: I'll hit.
[01:43:06] Speaker A: I'll hit save, and we'll go get dinner.
[01:43:08] Speaker B: I won't lose too much. Oh, or we could wrap it.
I mean, we've been going almost two hours.
[01:43:16] Speaker A: Yeah, no, no.
[01:43:17] Speaker C: I normally, like, the three hours. I'm just kidding.
[01:43:21] Speaker A: Hey, how do you listen to us on Spotify? What? Speed?
[01:43:25] Speaker B: No, no, like, regular. What emotion.
[01:43:27] Speaker A: Really regular speed.
You regular speed it?
[01:43:31] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:43:32] Speaker B: Wow.
[01:43:32] Speaker A: Do you regularly speed most your podcast?
[01:43:34] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:43:36] Speaker A: That's good to hear.
I don't think a lot of people. Regular speed.
[01:43:40] Speaker B: I. I have to listen to comedy podcasts at regular speed because you miss, like, the rhythm.
[01:43:46] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:43:47] Speaker B: The humor if you don't. But anything political or sports.
[01:43:50] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:43:51] Speaker B: Thing I listen to, like, double speed.
[01:43:53] Speaker A: So, Miami, we were laying in bed one night, and she's like. Like I said something like, I forgot how it came about, but it came about that she listens to erotic novels, bruh.
[01:44:07] Speaker C: The.
[01:44:08] Speaker A: So I said, well, put one on. Let's see where we go.
And so.
[01:44:13] Speaker B: You're wild, dude.
Your daughter is sitting right.
[01:44:18] Speaker C: That's not even that. It's like.
[01:44:19] Speaker A: I know.
[01:44:20] Speaker C: What?
First of all, why. Why does she like.
[01:44:25] Speaker A: I guess it's like, things women her age do anyhow.
[01:44:28] Speaker C: Okay, got it.
[01:44:29] Speaker A: Hear me out. No, I thought the same thing. I'm thinking like, oh, you. You. You like to get these and get a little. Little warm down there. Get the oven.
[01:44:38] Speaker C: Isn't she older?
[01:44:39] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:44:40] Speaker C: How much older?
[01:44:42] Speaker A: Four years.
[01:44:42] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:44:43] Speaker A: So I'm thinking, like, okay, like, you want to get read. You want to live it. So she puts it on. It's like times two.
And I'm like.
[01:44:53] Speaker C: I'm trying to get. Get this going.
[01:44:55] Speaker A: So I'm like, do you even, like, what do you. What do you put the show. I just put it on to go to sleep. I'm like, you don't want to flick the old bean to it or anything.
[01:45:03] Speaker B: Jesus.
[01:45:03] Speaker A: She's like, no, I just listen to go to sleep.
[01:45:07] Speaker C: She wants the wet dreams.
[01:45:10] Speaker A: It just kind of blew my mind because, like, I'm thinking, like, slow it down maybe.
Maybe listen to it on 0.75.
[01:45:17] Speaker C: Is it a guy narrator?
[01:45:20] Speaker B: Better not be.
[01:45:22] Speaker A: I don't think it is. I think it's a woman.
[01:45:24] Speaker C: Didn't you listen to it with her?
[01:45:26] Speaker A: I did once, and I was like, this is pointless, baby girl.
Yeah, I mean, you go, you know, you'd have to.
[01:45:32] Speaker B: I'm not sure this rip cord's connected to anything.
[01:45:35] Speaker A: Well, you have to, like, you skip the touching and the sensualness, and you just go to.
That's what times two does, or two times does this, you know? So to me, I'm like, this is pointless.
[01:45:45] Speaker C: Well, to go to sleep is very interesting.
[01:45:47] Speaker A: Yeah. I thought we were listening to it
[01:45:48] Speaker C: to like, maybe, you know, Is it even erotic, though?
[01:45:53] Speaker A: I don't know.
[01:45:56] Speaker B: Listening.
[01:45:57] Speaker A: Hey, look, it was so fast. I was like, I'm checking out.
[01:46:00] Speaker B: He's just.
[01:46:01] Speaker C: He couldn't keep up with his feet.
[01:46:02] Speaker A: What?
[01:46:03] Speaker B: Who's this fella? How does he know this gal?
[01:46:06] Speaker C: He's all getting invested in the actual storyline.
[01:46:10] Speaker B: Okay, tell me.
[01:46:11] Speaker C: Wait, wait, go back, go back.
[01:46:14] Speaker A: So Bella's her sister.
[01:46:18] Speaker B: All right, so, Bella, tell me if this is weird. So I found out recently that my sister.
[01:46:26] Speaker A: Oh, I thought you're gonna say your wife has an only fans page. I wish JJ's did. Go on.
[01:46:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:46:33] Speaker C: Oh, God, dude, that was. And didn't. That was a whole. Okay.
[01:46:37] Speaker B: Question. Could you find that?
Because if he ever gets in contact with me again and is rude to me, that.
[01:46:44] Speaker A: Oh, my God, like, snaggletooth Guamanian. It would come up.
[01:46:51] Speaker B: Dude.
Oh, man. Yeah, you like. You like gang bangs and stuff? I'll tell you what I've been. Dude, I really like a snaggle tooth.
[01:47:03] Speaker A: Someone good, mean, overbite.
[01:47:06] Speaker B: Something that feels gettable, you know?
So I found out that my sister has been writing erotic stories.
[01:47:17] Speaker A: No.
[01:47:18] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:47:18] Speaker C: How does one obtain this information?
[01:47:21] Speaker A: She just told me.
[01:47:22] Speaker C: Oh, she.
[01:47:23] Speaker B: Because we were just talking about.
[01:47:24] Speaker A: This is not like stepbrother, stepsister, erotic, is it?
[01:47:27] Speaker B: No.
[01:47:28] Speaker A: She told you to kind of like.
[01:47:29] Speaker B: I don't know. I don't know what the context.
[01:47:30] Speaker A: Is she really even writing, or was that a pickup line?
[01:47:32] Speaker B: My.
[01:47:33] Speaker C: Oh, my God.
[01:47:34] Speaker B: My hunch. And again, I didn't want details, but my hunch was that it's like, you know, Gilded age, like, stable boy and things like that, you know, because that's.
If I had to guess, that's what I assume.
[01:47:50] Speaker A: Do you think your sister's lacking stability?
[01:47:52] Speaker B: She said
[01:47:55] Speaker C: she's such a dad. Joke.
[01:47:58] Speaker B: She said that she shares them with her friends.
So she's writing, like, erotica and sharing it with her girlfriends, and they're reading it, and that's weird. But then I thought, dearest reader, I know how to publish stuff on Amazon.
[01:48:18] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:48:20] Speaker A: So glad you picked.
[01:48:22] Speaker B: I miss what?
[01:48:22] Speaker C: I mean, I always listen. You guys are the ones that can't listen to multiple.
[01:48:28] Speaker B: What is this?
[01:48:29] Speaker A: Dearest Reader, this is Bridgerton. It's a Bridgerton thing where a girl.
[01:48:33] Speaker B: Like an erotica show. Right?
[01:48:34] Speaker A: Yeah. We're a girl in the city, though, writes stories about what's going on in the city. And, like, everybody reads it. So I see. It was a joke on your sister being like, wattpad.
I don't know.
[01:48:50] Speaker B: Literally that's all she told me. She writes erotica and she shares it with her friends, and I thought, I've published things on Amazon.
Are we leaving money on the table here?
But then, you know, you only go a step or two down that road before you realize that you are partnering with your sister.
[01:49:07] Speaker C: Oh, my God.
[01:49:08] Speaker A: It's only a minute before stepbrother. Stepsister.
[01:49:13] Speaker C: So what is weird? What are you asking is weird?
[01:49:15] Speaker A: Hey, I'm like, 10 chapters deep on
[01:49:17] Speaker B: an erotica and publishing it for no. To make money.
[01:49:20] Speaker C: No, no, it'd be weird if you're
[01:49:23] Speaker A: probably gonna design my don.
[01:49:26] Speaker B: What if I had to do some proofreading? No, I'm a better.
[01:49:28] Speaker A: I think my mine is still waiting in your inbox on proofreading my erotica.
[01:49:33] Speaker C: That's that.
[01:49:34] Speaker A: You said you.
[01:49:34] Speaker B: You were changing everything.
[01:49:36] Speaker A: I did, But I didn't, man. I mean, I haven't touched it. It's on chapter 10.
[01:49:39] Speaker B: Okay. You know, I'll get back into it.
[01:49:41] Speaker A: I don't know where it's going. No, I'm changing the trim stuff.
Oh, not changing the erotica one.
[01:49:47] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:49:48] Speaker A: I like that one.
[01:49:49] Speaker B: I'll. I'll read it. I'll give you notes.
[01:49:51] Speaker A: Yeah, have your sister read it.
Sorry. Give me a call. Give me your feedback.
No, but serious. If you're listening, give me a call.
[01:50:02] Speaker C: Weird.
You guys? Nothing.
[01:50:06] Speaker A: No, he didn't hear that.
[01:50:08] Speaker C: He's like squirrel in a nice way.
I don't know. You guys just. I don't know. I'm. Maybe I'm too aware.
No, I just. When you guys speak, I'm, you know, you're gonna listen to this back and hear some bangers I dropped, and you're gonna. You're gonna realize that you didn't laugh at them.
[01:50:30] Speaker A: Why?
[01:50:30] Speaker B: We need headphones.
[01:50:32] Speaker C: Yeah, I did notice that, too. I was like, maybe they. They need to be able to hear me more direct.
[01:50:36] Speaker B: I'm also deaf as a stump, so.
[01:50:38] Speaker A: Yeah, that's why I just throw out under my breath. Yeah, like, he doesn't know this, but she'll call.
[01:50:45] Speaker C: No, I'm aware, but nothing.
[01:50:51] Speaker B: All right.
[01:50:51] Speaker C: He's in his own world over here, and you're intentionally in your own world over here.
[01:50:57] Speaker B: Visit this world.
[01:50:59] Speaker C: Yeah, I am so honored to be here today.
[01:51:04] Speaker A: It sounds greater than what it is when you're like, yeah, I got a podcast.
[01:51:11] Speaker B: Really?
[01:51:11] Speaker A: What's it about?
[01:51:12] Speaker B: Ah.
[01:51:13] Speaker C: Ah.
[01:51:14] Speaker A: Little.
[01:51:14] Speaker B: A little of that.
Odds and ends.
[01:51:18] Speaker A: What's the name? I can't tell you.
[01:51:21] Speaker B: It does feel.
[01:51:22] Speaker C: I mean, if you did, I Doubt they would even know how to spell it.
[01:51:24] Speaker B: That's possible.
[01:51:26] Speaker A: I agree.
[01:51:26] Speaker C: Cuz I still struggle.
[01:51:28] Speaker B: I also had it spelled held wrong for a minute, didn't I?
[01:51:30] Speaker C: Yeah, you did mention that.
[01:51:32] Speaker B: Was that on the, the thumbnail or was that on there?
[01:51:34] Speaker A: Yeah, it was on, like the, the.
[01:51:35] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:51:36] Speaker A: It was on one of them. It was on something with our logo for sure.
[01:51:39] Speaker B: Yeah. Do you know the secret? Obviously, that logo and how our, our identities are secretly embedded in it?
[01:51:45] Speaker A: I don't.
[01:51:46] Speaker C: I'd have to look at it.
[01:51:47] Speaker A: I'm not gonna lie.
[01:51:47] Speaker B: I'll be when we wrap.
[01:51:50] Speaker A: Oh, you're not.
[01:51:51] Speaker B: This is, I'm not gonna say it on the podcast.
[01:51:53] Speaker A: Why?
[01:51:54] Speaker C: All right.
[01:51:54] Speaker A: I don't care. Unless it's going to give up our identities.
[01:51:56] Speaker B: I mean, you tell me if, if it needs to be cut, but.
[01:52:02] Speaker A: Very nice. Yeah.
[01:52:04] Speaker B: Looks all stylized, but that's tension there.
[01:52:07] Speaker A: Hey, that's cool.
[01:52:08] Speaker B: It's like a David lynch movie. It's like you have to know what's going on.
[01:52:12] Speaker A: Nose de France.
I don't know if that's the same guy that you referred to earlier.
[01:52:19] Speaker B: What did you say?
[01:52:20] Speaker A: Nose different? Nah, Nose the Ferret.
[01:52:22] Speaker B: Nah, he did Twin Peaks and Mulholland.
[01:52:25] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.
[01:52:26] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm on a bit of a kick with him. Instagram knows I love him, so now they're just showing me interviews of him being a maniac.
[01:52:34] Speaker A: I get it.
[01:52:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:52:35] Speaker A: You guys want to go eat?
[01:52:38] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm good.
[01:52:39] Speaker C: Sure.
[01:52:40] Speaker A: Beautiful. All right, everyone.
[01:52:42] Speaker C: Thank you.
[01:52:44] Speaker A: Hey, thanks for joining us. I wish we could do this more. Yeah, yeah, I like this.
[01:52:49] Speaker B: I mean, we're both local, so I'm not gonna lie. Travel to.
[01:52:55] Speaker A: This does feel really intimate speaking into a microphone.
[01:52:59] Speaker B: I like it.
[01:53:01] Speaker A: I feel like I don't have to
[01:53:02] Speaker C: use me on gaming, so it's really no other day to me.
[01:53:06] Speaker B: Wow. Okay, so it was nothing special.
[01:53:08] Speaker C: No, it's special.
[01:53:09] Speaker B: I, I, we have her on.
I was gonna say third mic for a minute.
[01:53:15] Speaker A: Yeah, I thought it, I was like, what a great addition.
[01:53:18] Speaker B: Nope, she doesn't.
[01:53:19] Speaker A: Then she started speaking and I was like, no, no, never mind.
[01:53:22] Speaker C: I think I guide you guys in the right direction.
[01:53:25] Speaker B: You have done a lot for the show. Thank you.
[01:53:27] Speaker A: Oh, I think it's a great set because it's almost like we go 12, 15 years. 12, 15 years male, female perspectives. It's, it's, it covers like, so generation.
[01:53:42] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:53:43] Speaker A: The kind of generation and the good generation.
You know what I mean?
[01:53:47] Speaker C: Don't hear that one back.
[01:53:49] Speaker B: I. Every generation gets old Enough to think they're the good generation and they all grow up.
[01:53:55] Speaker A: I think technology killed a lot of. Of of character building.
[01:54:01] Speaker C: Wait, what do you think about your generation?
[01:54:04] Speaker A: You know what I think about my generation?
[01:54:06] Speaker C: No, like, with technology, I'd say, like, do you think you're in a good spot?
[01:54:11] Speaker A: I think I could have been in a better spot.
[01:54:13] Speaker C: What? Where?
[01:54:13] Speaker A: Because I was at a good age when technology started to take off to where if I was like, I'm fully invested, let's go that route.
School and career would have been dictated towards that versus earlier generation. You're too far behind it, where you're like, you can't teach old dog new tricks. You know, like, kind of like my dad.
And then you got. I feel I was in a good spot to jump on some tail, some. Some coattails to be like, okay.
And then I think now you guys are in an actual better spot. I think actually because you're. It's still growing, especially with AI, that you guys are in a good spot
[01:54:54] Speaker C: to be like, I don't agree with that.
[01:54:56] Speaker A: I do. Because AI is such a game changer. Like, just knowing the Adobe suite and now using Adobe with AI, you're like, oh, dude, all I have to do is tell this.
[01:55:08] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:55:09] Speaker A: To do the. That I wanted to do. But not a lot of people know the to tell the machine to do.
[01:55:14] Speaker C: It's still. I think it's stripping us of our
[01:55:18] Speaker A: little knowledge we have characterized. I think is stripping you guys. But as far as like, career path and. And end game, I don't think it's stripping.
[01:55:28] Speaker C: Just depends what career path they're in.
[01:55:33] Speaker B: I'll be stripping if my career
[01:55:40] Speaker A: take Jimmy to the old Boom Boom Room. So I wanted to share a story.
[01:55:43] Speaker B: That is the club.
[01:55:45] Speaker A: I wanted to share a story. This came up for a reason.
I was waiting tables and I just transitioned from busboy to server.
And I'm waiting tables in Lagoon beach and this guy comes in, we're hitting it off, like, we're about to be best friends. I'm like, dude, this dude. I'm going back to, like, you know, the. The station. I'm like, dude, stud on table 13.
He was on table 10, 20, 30, 40, 51. And I'm like, this dude is so cool. Like, I think we're gonna hang out. And.
And then he goes, yeah, like, that'd be cool. Like, we should go hang out at the Boom Boom Room. And I'm like, yeah, never knew anything about the Boom Boom Room. So I go back and I like, relay that to my colleagues, and they're like, the Boom Boom Room. They're all older women. They're like, that's the gay bar in Laguna Beach. And I'm like, are you serious? They're like, yeah. I'm like, nah.
[01:56:38] Speaker B: So there's been a mistake.
[01:56:40] Speaker A: Yeah, dude. Dude, I like, stayed in this. The. The. Like, the waiting station until, like. Like, it was, like, ready to give him his check. Like, if I didn't have to go to the table anymore, I wasn't going to the table. And then, like, months later, came back
[01:56:52] Speaker B: in with his buddy, his good friend.
[01:56:55] Speaker A: Yeah, here I am, dude. I'm maybe 20, dude. Maybe 20.
And these guys, now that I look at it, we're probably looking at me like I'm a fine piece of ass that they're about to tear into. Like, my virgin hole was gonna be there.
[01:57:07] Speaker B: Jesus.
[01:57:08] Speaker C: You know, they're gonna explore your poor. Your largest poor.
[01:57:12] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly, dude.
[01:57:14] Speaker B: Wow.
My dad. Sorry, did I cut you off?
[01:57:17] Speaker A: Nope, that was it.
[01:57:18] Speaker C: That was that.
[01:57:18] Speaker B: My. My dad worked at the liquor store right across the street from the Boom Boom Room. And there were obviously, like, famous people.
[01:57:27] Speaker C: Is it still there?
[01:57:28] Speaker B: No, it closed down, like, 20 years ago. We drove by the night it closed down, reminiscing. Yeah, like, Paul Lind would come.
[01:57:38] Speaker A: I don't know who that is.
[01:57:39] Speaker B: He. He was an actor. He was on Bewitched and stuff like that. But he was secretly gay. And. And it was far enough away from LA where gay guys could go down to Laguna beach and kind of, you know, get the jollies out and no one would know. And so, like, this doctor from Texas would come, like, once a quarter on a business trip.
He would always, like, pick up a bottle, go across the street to the Boom Boom Room. So they knew what was going on. But this is, like a Southern door doctor, dude. And. And so he comes in. He's already drunk one night when he comes in, and they're like, hey, you know, Ted, or whatever his name was, like, how's it going tonight? And he goes, well, boys, I think I'm gay.
Growing up, my dad would always say that as just a non sequitur. He would always just be like, well, I think I'm gay. And then he finally told me the story of why he says that.
[01:58:31] Speaker C: That's funny.
[01:58:33] Speaker A: Yeah.
Damn. I had something else to say and I forgot. Anyhow, gay stuff. It was gay stuff. Yeah, it was gay stuff.
[01:58:42] Speaker B: All right, I think we're good.
[01:58:44] Speaker A: All right, guys, let's go eat.
[01:58:45] Speaker B: Yes. Thanks for listening.
